Jimmy,
Here is a thread with a Scope 4.5 bugs - some of the descriptions are a bit vague but it would be interesting if these are reproducible in Scope 5
http://forums.plan etz.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=24767
That Zvon stuff looks interesting - heck it's only a few bucks
I'll have another look of Bidule - if I get it I'll PM you for those video links
Cheers Jimmy

great news, finally.........
Any details on SFP5? Anything new? Or is it just a new skinned SFP4.5 with vista 32bit drivers?

thanks a lot to share your user experience and all these nice pics Jimmy!
With my actual 36 DSPs, i feel like with my first Pulsar I card (back in 2000

)
All this power with a single Xcite is totaly amazing !!!
i have 2 questions about Xcite and Scope 5:
- My actual system provide me 7 ADAT ports which i use to sum my main computer (Mac with Logic as Sequencer) and 2 Slaves PCs in the Scope PC (2 Scope pro / 1 Pulsar II, 1 Scope Pro has an ADAT plate).
X-cite has 2 ADAT ports.
How could we have more than 2 ADAT ports with an Xcite System
- It's actually impossible to get a tight midi timing or tempo from Sequencer in Scope 4.5
Is it possible now in scope 5 ?
I would have a lot of oher questions,
but these 2 are very important for me,
to know if i move my birthday in may or if it will stay in march
Anyway, thanks a lot
and i wish you a lot of fun with your new crazy Xcite4live system

At the moment we can't have more I/O's on the XITE system - but I think SC will use the XTDM interface for additional DSP power and I/O's in the future. It would also be awesome if SC could make a z-link/AES adapter - otherwise I don't have any use of the z-link interface.
When SC releases the OSX drivers - would you still need all those ADAT ports? You would not need to connect the MAC to the XITE with ADAT ports and you would only have to connect your two slave PC's via ADAT, right?

Hi Jimmy,
XITE-1/4LIVE wrote:but his 16/32 Channel mixers ask for Registration keys, so I ain't messing with that.
Do you remember, for which device it was asked for ?
And could you be so kind and send me a screenshot of this registration dialog ?
Or is it simply not working ?
Thanks and a lot of fun with you unit

Damn right I will .................Hang tight, and I will post it immediately.....
I have all of your regestration entries in the App/Bin as usual.
ALL of your Delays and MIDI Tools, and MIDI Program Changer work fine.
XITE-1 is a mixer freaks dream come true.
I can load several mixers, and each one can be packed with high quality reverbs and plugs.
The 32 Channel Wolfie was made for this.

I haven't used a real sampler since the Emulator days, but I have opened the STS up in 4.5 and it looks like what I remember.
Since I like posting pics here's what it looks like. The RAM limit appears to be 2GB's and I am using the 3GB PAE Switch, so the same old 32bit limitation applies.
I have wanted a limitless RAM based sampler forever.
It would be so sweet if eventually SC turned this into a streamer or added the 64bit memory addressing.
As far as the ULLI is concerned it came at a default setting of 34msec's I believe, and it felt fine, but caused grief w/ my Romplers, so I put it at 44.1k / 4msec.'s. And it has no latency issues at either of those settings.

There is a "workaround" using Z-Link. Just attach an A 16 via Z-Link and you have another set of 2x ADAT In/Out. The ADATs from Xite would be not enough for me, too, so I asked Ralf last year about this. Result: I ordered an A 16 XLR (which was delivered at once) and an Xite (which has been shipped today!

) Not the same like 3 cards would provide, but now I have 4 x ADAT In/Outs and XTDM extensions will come. And the 16 In/Outs of A 16 are also good to have. Sounds really good!

Congratulation with your XITE system - nice solution, but I need AES/EBU so I have to have Lynx AES16e + ADAT installed together with XITE.
Thank you Jimmy for all the pictures - I really like the new look - way more professional than any of the previous versions.

Monday I will have some cool sounding Solaris demos.
But be warned I like the old Mahavishnu and ELP type of stuff, so the Bass drum won't be the 4/4 ( yawn, yawn) type of groove. More like 10/8 and 12/8 with distorted synth lead guitars and fake phased fiddles.
