Gary, your ideas about how the world should work is an utopia that is just as far out as the idea of global communism or global islamism.
Democrasy is far from perfect and will never be, but if we don't try to make it work we will end up having a world where each man is himself closest and where the rich people will rule even harder than we see them do it today. "Might will be right" and idiots will get their way without anybody trying to stop them effectively. Much like you see your president fooling around today.

I do agree with Brotha' Man Petal about G.Bush.
Sometimes a jerk like him is needed to shake up the allies a little bit.
If we would have had John Kerry, or John Edwards, or any of the liberal democrats. Global terrorism would have seemed to be sucessful. As they would have taken polls, and reacted to threats as they emerged, and played a political game of chess while our enemies plotted our demise. Like a giant game of boringly predictable chess. What Americans did like about G. Bush was that he's a Texan, he plays checkers. You fuck with him, and he jumps right over you. I personally praised him until he decided to get even with Saddam for trying to whack his daddy. He even was quoted saying that to the press, but they print what they consider to be in their interests., ratings.
Middle class Americans like GaryB, and I prefer to have freedom of choice, and have no say in Washington, but locally we have an effect on our Government, which if ever is taken away from us by D.C., every red blooded American will revolt, and take back what is our God given right, the pursuit of happiness.
The rich will always stay where they are, as someone in their family tree played the game years ago and won. That's capitalism. Middle America is the real strength of the free world. It's production, and manufacturing levels are the worlds highest, and until that gets outsourced, we will have the power to make a change. But not until the millions of hard working, and rule abiding Americans get fed up with Uncle Sam, and his ugly brother the I.R.S.
We do need change 4 sure, but if the next President doesn't re unite us with our European brethren, and start the healing process, an un united western world will be picked apart by one by one by global Jihad. Spain was just the first sucessful domino. America cannot afford to keep bullying it's " allies ". We have the power of economic persuassion, N.Korea was just one example. Sure it took a while, but it just happened recently. It's just that guys like G.Bush, and most Texans in general are very, very proud Americans with a history of takin' care of business fast, and hangin' 'em high. The Alamo was only one example of their style of fight and pride. The middle of America is where the people and local governments have more down to earth common sense. There's something about people, and municipalities that are on the border, and have oceans as borders that makes them kind of crazy.
I have always preferred the Midwest's farmers daughters myself.
If someone ever tries to censor or close Planet Z,.....I will get a rope !!

In my opinion the reaction to 9/11 couldn't have been more worse, and the hatred against the west is now even greater than ever because of that very idiotic cowboyish reaction. If it ever did anything then it was and is to fuel the evergrowing frustration among potential terrorists.
I don't have the answer to what would have been the right thing to do, but jumping the gun has prooved to be a disasterous action that we haven't really seen all the consequences to yet.
For Bush though 9/11 was the excuse to do exactly what he was put there to do, take away even more freedom from the people (Patriot Act), and make even more money for hes friends in the oil and weapons industry.
How you people can keep on trusting the Republicans is beyond any reason.

Well I never got a job from a poor man I guess.
Republicans always cause growth, and the democrats with their big spending on social programs always claims to tax the rich, but the rich have shelters and high dollar lawyers, so they can hide from the old get the rich guy slogans of the democrats. In the end the middle class gets targeted and taxed to carry on the programs of every partry. One day this bull shit will end. I pray for Ron Paul, he is one of the real Republicans. But my Grandfather predicted that actors would be the best Presidents. Free countries always seem to be swayed by powerful speakers, backed by big corporations of course.
The Anti-Christ is Americas Answer, Just look at Henry Kissinger, the harbringer of death. He is actually 126 years old, but since he is not of this world his age doesn't show. Mother Nature will balance itself out in the end, if global destruction is on the agenda, there is little we can do.

all go to the bohemian grove for the ceremony burning a human effigy to escape their cares, democrat and republican, the chancellor of germany, chinese, and french leaders, dutch and english royalty, heads of multinationals.
all this other stuff is just theater.
9/11? theater.
wars? deadly theater.
people starving? sadly just more theater. there's food if anyone really wanted to feed them...
i'm not even talking about a utopia and i don't need to be patronized and told why i should just like being manipulated and lied to. i'd be happy just to actually have the REPUBLIC that the constitution promises. the REPUBLIC has been replaced by a SHAM called DEMOCRACY, which is just easily controlled MOB RULE. a REPUBLIC is preferable because a REPUBLIC assures GRIDLOCK, which means that there will be no
progress, which is only about more and more efficient methods of control of people's minds hearts and bodies. if one reads the American constitution and the writings of those who set it up, one sees that the whole point is to LIMIT the ability of any ONE being able to rule or accomplish his goals. the actions which we see today are nothing more than LAWLESSNESS for those in control and BRAINWASHING and COERSION for those who are controlled, which is nothing but BS. the president is NOT a king! he's merely an administrator! Congress is where the power is, but the traitors in congress have abrogated their duty and allowed the exectutive to act as a ruler. why? because people are so used to having a king, that they are afraid to run their own business. getting into office is expensive and it involves pleasing the proper
power brokers who are unelected and answer only to themselves and, even worse, are virtually anonymous. this is also treasonous, but explains how a president with approval ratings below 18% and a congress with similar ratings can happily continue to do things that are unpopular. America is not unusual in this respect, however. THE EXACT SAME POWER BOKERS RUN EVERY OTHER COUNTRY.
don't you know that the current wars against "terrorism" have NOTHING to do with anything like "the west"? the US troops are UN TROOPS! this is a WORLD action, with the USA carrying the banner! BILL CLINTON SIGNED OVER CONTROL OF THE US MILITARY DURING KOSOVO!!!! the same billy boy, who has been tapped as a prime candidate for UN secretary general, and whose wife is the FOX news front runner for the next president of the USA(bush, clinton, bush, clinton). there have been quite a few US troops refusing to wear the blue UN patches, who have been quietly discharged including the guy behind "Loose Change".
where do "terrorists" get their funding? how do goat herders in a cave manage to get into the USA even though they're on watch lists, get trained to fly in US military bases, and crash into 3 buildings in the neighborhood of the main US airbase whose job it is to scramble and shoot such threats down(well, there
was a standdown order from the Vice President that has been thouroghly documented)?
sheep.
sheep.
sheep.
i posess documentation to all my claims. the best anyone can do to deny those claims is say, "uh uh, no way!

". anyone who cared to, could also document what i have been hinting at....
it wouldn't really be hard to eliminate this lying influence of the power elite, just for the public to stop daydreaming and selfishly accepting the bribes of entertainment, television(even the rate that the TV flickers has been investigated and optimized for maximum hypnotic effect...), toys and superficial comfort, and choose liberty and freedom over servitude. in the mean time, i drift with the tide like the rest of us......
EU subjects, why do you think all of the EU countries are always passing the same laws at about the same time(like anti terrorist laws, for example) if you still live in soveriegn states? could it be that the world government trumps your own local laws and your elected leaders only rule to the extent that they tow the line(of course that's how it is! just read these "trade agreements")?
btw-i'm not middleclass. middleclass starts at over $100,000 a year(maybe more like $200,000 with the devaluation of the currency lately). i'm just a serf here in ghetto land, LBC, Strong Beach, CA. yeah, yeah......ask any american what class they belong to(and we're supposedly classless here), and they'll all say "middle class". that includes ghetto denizens like myself and multi millionaires in beverly hills. someone's mistaken......

Out of curiosity, what on earth did Kosovo had to do with the "war against terrorism"?
Second, regarding your you "world order"; NATO forces went into Jugoslavia without EU recognition, just as US forces went into Iraq without the blessing from much of the bildenberg sector aka. europe. i know, i know. ill be getting a "its just theater" claim right back at me. And just for the record im as much against the iraq invasion as the majority of the european citizens are.
Funny then, as "we", as the stupid ones with our kings and queens, was the ones who never approved of the oil-stinking operation, seeing that we (from your rethorics) are so used to following our monarcs into this war of great wealth, while you, who never had a king even, are the ones following your leaders.
oh and yes i am generalising. but so are you my friend
