While I admit I am pleased v2 is around the corner, I must admit I am quite dissapointed being that I just bought v.1 not 3-4 weeks ago and now I already have to purchase an upgrade.
Of course nothing is forcing me to get v2 when released but honestly you know being an SFP junkie is a tough thing to overcome, will there be some sort of grace period for users who just purchased the pachage, and will there be new patches aswell or just new modules?
Just curious and congrats on all the positive things from flexor..
Cheers!

i just got home from some exhausting days of work and am very tired, but if i understand your post and the pricing of the upgrade from v1 and the new v2 price tag, you should be happy instead of dissappointed.
how can you be unhappy about further development? and more than that, being unhappy about actually paying less for v1 + upgrade than the full version 2?

As I said, I am happy about there already being v2, just I have been spending so much on this platform mny pockets are still crying, now I have to shell out again not 4 weeks into it hehe.
Its all good, maybe im just a bit sore that the EURO is strong right now where as USD makes buying EUR products that much more =)
No biggie, guess ill just have to wait it out, I have decided to re-build my PC since I am getting some wierd oddities with my AMD set up I cant rectify, so that must come 1st..
Cheers!

my bad, BP... after i good night's sleep i understand better... well, that's the way things go these days. you buy something and it's outdated already. i guess everyone wants the latest and greatest. me too, but realising that whatever i already have is cool and workable as well should get me a long way too
about conversion... i've been wanting a nice fender twinverb for a long time, but the dollar was always strong compared to european currencies. now that the situation has changed, do you think i can buy american musician's gear at a cheaper price? far from it. retail stores here just make more money now, i guess. instead i just got me a flatscreen and a nice flight case for my mac (and the screen) which i take to rehearsal now AND now i'm finally able to incorporate SFP stuff in band situations and work on a sound that i'll be able to use at home, in the practice room and on stage...
i'd like to win the lottery, but i never participate, so...

My dear friend, what drugs are you on recently? On 2004-04-08 13:24, braincell wrote:
Upgrades shouldn't come so frequently. Didn't Flexor come out less than a year ago?
I'm looking forward to see something constructive from you soon, a great patch you did or anything positive that you can come up with.
I'm serious, you are irritating people infinitely.
Braincell - what you ask for is stagnation. If Muze creates continually, should he wait till he was finnished? Should we wait 3 years more? Should he not realese this after having created quite a bit of new modules? Should he hold it back, so we can not use his lovely creations - just because he should not upgrade after more than ½ a year?
Man you are far out sometimes.

I am sure i saw mentioned that flexor owners would get some free new modules. now i am not expecting the whole shebang but i feel like i was duped.
however flexor is such a good thing even as it is that you can not really complain about what you got for the cost. it was well worth the $$$ and eating of kraft dinner to save aforementioned $$$

Spirit - it's your loss.. you're missing out on the most exciting thing on this platform.
Neutron - I have the greatest respect for you and the devices you've made, but really.. try and read the topic fully.. Red_Muze wrote earlier in the thread:
"Yes i forgot to give all the extra info:
Flexor 1.5 will be released before flexor 2.0 and will be a free upgrade. this upgrade will include some new modules from the wishlist (AHD, elsatic X/Y and more...), a maintenence overall to the modules (resonance modulation to the filters, swing factor to the sequencers, some bug fixes).
the Flexor v2 upgrade will be available for current users at a reduced price of 30eu and will have over 50 new modules (module list will come shortly)."
I really don't see what the problem is! Red_Muze is one of the only developers giving genuine value for money.. I think you guys should cut him a little slack.
peace

Hi!
id like to ask all the people that are not happy with the news NOT to buy flexorV2.
you are certainly not aware of the time and effort put into this product, and also not aware of the fact that flexor's prices are redicuilus. and some of you even prefer to have less modules just so your software stays "up to date".
mind you, that flexor V2 is cheaper than flexor V1 when you compare what you get.(about 70 new modules for 30 eu!)
but heck. people will always complain when they have to pay for work done. even if its good.
peace!

i think that flexor was a giant step forward fro CW community. not only for sound generation, but also for suond processing: i'm using the saturation and drive modules all the times on bass, drums and vocals!
i think that the 99euro i spent were the highest quality/price (and also quantity/price!!) achievable!
i'll also buy the update in the same day it will come out!!
come on... 30 euro for the update are absolutely nothing even for a student... (if he previously purchased flexor!)
i think that 99e should be the maximum CW plugin price!!
please... post soon a list of the new modules!
