Panning
I need to pan some channels left and some right. I am using Logic. When I pan a channel I see the sound on the side I choose but the sound still keeps coming down in the center. I tried panning hard left or right in SFP and Logic but I get the same result. Even when I bounce the tracks it is the same. I am wondering if it is the way my outboard gears are connected? Any suggestions please. I have to transfer my files to a HD recorder in order to record and pan files.

No panning automation is involved. The analogue inputs on the Luna is supposed to be stereo, right. Am I supposed to be using balanced cables or unbalanced? Silly question. I have the Luna out coming into a mono input (unbalanced cable) on my mixer and an auxillary out (balanced cable)into the Luna input. I am using a Behringer 18X3X2 mixer. Any ideas?

The file I am using is stereo in Logic. I am wondering now what is wrong. I have been playing around on another PC with a SB card, Win 98 and Pro Tools Free. I am able to pan tracks anyhow I want in the Mix window. I am going to try and see if Pro Tools Free can work with my Luna Card with WDM drivers installed on Win 98. Eight audio tracks and 48 midi is'nt that bad for free. Anyone ever tried that? I think Creamware should have a sequencer or add midi features to their audio recorder. I am fed up with those other serquencers(Logic, Sonar etc). I maybe sounding absurd but thats my true opinion. These cards are the only reason I am sticking with software sequencers.
Here is a procedure to give you some clue of, where the problem is.
Take a mono synth. Put it into a Channel (the one channel "mixer". Put the channel in stereo mode. Send the signal from the channel to the Luna analog outs.
Now play the synth and adjust the pan on the channel. If your signal still stays centered in the soundscape, you will know for shure, that this is not a software problem.
I tried pooh tools free in my PC - it made the PC very unstable - just like a music technology studying friend predicted. Should work better on a Mac.

Ok, don't take this as an insult - but we've got try basics.
You do know, that the jack connections are stereo each. One is stereo in, and the other is stereo out. So you need a stereo jack -> dual mono rca/jack/XLR kind of cable. And the cable must be soldered right, so each mono connection has its own stereo channel.
I looks much like a connection (cable) problem.

Immanuel I tried new cables and all other possibilities. The situation is the same. I believed it has to do with the routing capabilities of the Behringer Eurorack UB1832 mixer. Those are very cheap and I cannot expect to get any major features apart from the ordinary from it. I would try something else soon to see.
You do pan the tracks on the Behringer I mean?
If your headphones give you stereo from the Luna card, I sugest this:
Get a stereo jack->stereo mini jack plug.
Get a cheap stereo mini jack->dual RCA cable.
Connect the Luna to the tape inputs on the Behringer.
It still does look as a wrongly soldered cable.
