1. Musikmesse 2003 Opens in Frankfurt
Musikmesse 2003 is officially open, and NI is
presenting six new products for the first time in
Europe: REAKTOR 4, REAKTOR SESSION, VOKATOR, INTAKT,
KOMPAKT, and TRAKTOR Final Scratch. And of course
what would Musikmesse be without a world premiere?
ABSYNTH 2.0 has arrived, and it’s more powerful than
ever. Visit us at Stand C 56 in Hall 5.1 until Sunday
9th of March, where you can catch a presentation
every 30 minutes, test out the new products, and
maybe even win a copy of REAKTOR 4. More info and
schedule of NI presentations:
-> http://www.native-instruments.com/musikmesse2003.info

2. World Premiere: ABSYNTH 2.0
ABSYNTH, one of NI’s most unique and widely popular
products, has received a comprehensive update. The
new and powerful version 2.0 provides Mac OS X
support, sampling and granular sampling features,
tempo synchronization, more envelope control then
ever before, enhanced VST support, waveform libraries,
new oscillators and much more.

3. New in REAKTOR 4
A huge number of new features and enhancements make
the fourth generation of REAKTOR more powerful than
ever before. The control surface shines with a new look,
and can even be completely custom-designed thanks to
some advanced graphics features. New Snapshot functions
include preset morphing and randomization, and the
browser and graphical sample mapper guarantee maximum
convenience. Four new web pages describe the latest
Panel developments in great detail, with more pages
on the way.

4. A Better Control: Oxygen 8 NI Edition
MIDI controllers make a world of difference when
operating and programming software instruments.
Native Instruments has released an exclusive NI Edition
of the Oxygen 8 USB keyboard, which comes in classic
NI blue and includes controller presets for FM7 and
ABSYNTH. 25-key keyboard, 8 programmable knobs and a
fader make this controller an ideal and compact addition
to any software set-up. The Oxygen 8 NI Edition will
soon be available at an attractive price in the NI
Online Shop, by itself or bundled with FM7.
Twist and shout!

5. Special Offer: B4 Organ plus Tonewheel Set
Native Instruments is now delivering the B4 organ
with the Tonewheel Sets Vintage Collection at no
additional cost. In addition to the award-winning
organ emulation, users now get the sounds from
three other cult organs – at a savings of 99 Euro/
Dollars. Available for a limited time in the NI
Online Shop.

6. TRAKTOR Beat Grid Tutorial
In a new tutorial Friedemann Becker, NI’s in-house
TRAKTOR expert and Product Manager, explains how to
create a beat grid in TRAKTOR DJ Studio 2.0 for
high-precision synchronization of two tracks. The
tutorial is online for all registered users and can
be downloaded as a PDF.
-> http://www.native-instruments.com/beatgrid.info

7. Comparison Charts
In the product pages of the NI website you can now
find two helpful comparison charts: REAKTOR vs.
REAKTOR SESSION and KONTAKT vs. KOMPAKT vs. INTAKT.
The comparison charts break down all the similarities
and differences for the respective products so you
can make an informed decision about which product
will best meet your needs. You’ll find the product
comparison charts among the context links in the left
column of the product pages.

8. Sample Libraries Database
The NI sample formats such as KONTAKT and BATTERY set
new standards for sample based instruments, and the
number of sample libraries with dedicated NI formats
is quickly growing. The new sample libraries database
on our website gives all NI sampler users a quick
overview on the latest and finest sample content, and
provides links to all relevant producers.

i just got home from atomic's place, where i also met alfonso and michu. 4 planet-Z-arians in the same room... what a concentration! unfortunately i had to say goodbye this afternoon, as they left for the musikmesse! but it was fun, seeing alfonso and michu 'in the flesh', me listening to them rambling about modular... too many tech stuff for my ears, but that's what my friends tell me, when i start praising the creamware environment.
and then there was the concert of atomic and his mates.
blood, sweat and tears, but it 'all' worked out ok. i wouldn't have the guts to go on stage with their set up, but they managed pretty well, especially for a first timer... keep up the pace of practice and in two or three gigs time, you'll be rockin' da house, atom!

they will have nice things to tell you, i think
