From big mixer to Pulsar mixer?

For awhile now I have been using the big mixer in SFP with Cubase 5.1 just fine.Recently, I tried to replace the big mixer with the pulsar mixer for a change.I can't seem to get any signal through to cubase even with my asio dest connected to the out busses.It's set up is quite different internally.if someone could please give me an explination on how to do this?How do I assign channels to the busses?I'm just trying to conquer the fear and learn to use all the mixers. Also, let me know which of the mixers you prefer and why please. Thanks!
