Nu Mix 225

Post by mausmuso »

Hi There,
Recently I followed others here down the Scope Stand alone path and moved my XITE-1 to my old Windows 10 DAW and installed a RME RayDat in the main DAW. This opened up many new configuration possiblities and so I decided to build a new SCOPE mixer to allow for various scenarios.
The new mixer does not cover every configuable possibilities without extra SCOPE modules, but it does give a fair bit of flexibility without having to 'rewire'.
It is quite basic in its actual mixing prowess (not too many bells and whistles), but it does the basics, having:
  • 11 Stereo/22 Mono Input channels,
  • 5 Stereo out channels.
All IO channels have 2 inserts each
All channels can be disabled to lower DSP loads.
Skins wise, the input channels are globally 'blue' or 'red' and the out channels have 5 (subtle) skins for each channel.
Thats pretty much it.
You can see in the pic below I have set the mixer to:
  • Inputs - 16 ADAT (from the RayDat mostly fort stemming), Wav Stereo in and Mic/DI ins,
  • Outputs - Speakers, 6 ADAT (Returns to RayDat for bouncing mixers) and a Stereo Phones out.
Also my SCOPE Project contains 8 * ASIO2 channels to ADAT B, which I have been using to send Kontakt 7 instruments to the RayDat (Could ASIO2 with SCOPE synths if required).
Not shown here, but I also have a A16 TDAT Analog interface that allows for 16 IOs to the outside world. So its all pretty flexible and more than meets my needs.

I have not tested this mixer on PCI cards as my last card died some time back, so I am purely XITE-1 now.
Hope you find it useful.
