B4000 current firware

Post by eric »

Question for GaryB
What is the current firmware for the B4000 ASB? What date was it released?
How do I check the version in my B4000?

Thanks.

first, the units don't always report the version correctly. if the sound is smooth and not "steppy", when turning the osc and filter knobs while making sound, then you have the latest firmware.

i don't know the version number, but the version on the SC website download section is the latest. it was made in 2006 or 2007, just before Creamware went out of business permanently.

Hey Gary,

Thanks.

I don't have any "steppy" effects but I would rather preempt reporting any issues to TS by keeping the firmware current.

Going to blow the dust of the Xite-1. As it's been about 8 years in storage, should I think about replacing any Lithium batteries that may be inside?

BTW I am now living in West Virginia

your firmware should be current.
sure, i don't remember if there is a back-up battery, but if there is, it wouldn't hurt to replace it.
beware, the remote software is only fully supported in XP.

Thanks, Gary, all noted.
Are you saying there's a later release of windows than XP? 😄
