Regarding your suggestion:
send Adat data from Scope port A to B of the card via lightpipe cable.
What should I expect?

I didn‘t mean to open the PC but the external gear ;)
But it‘s a good idea if you expect a lot of dirt that may cause increased heat inside the case.

Plug a TosLink cabels from Adat A out to Adat B in.
For the „local“ test you may play a loop from your DAW, coming into Scope via an Asio pair.
Connect that Asio source to Adat destination A.
Connect Adat source B to your mixer, so you can control and monitor the channel pair.

You‘ll probably hear your file playing just the regular way.
If something is wrong with the Adat ports or the Scope card‘s internal sync, the sound may crackle or seems washed out.
(tbh there‘s only a tiny chance this may happen)
But if it does, extensive heat could be a reason, but not necessarily.

Another option is to remove the io-plate and put it back on again. Sometimes contacts build up surface corrosion, which is rubbed off by the procedure.

best of luck, Tom

If you were to send ADAT A OUT to ADAT B IN, you should set the clock to MASTER on the Scope, and see if ADAT B shows a sync/lock red signal in the Scope Samplerate panel/UI.

when buying "quality" toslink cables, beware of cables with fat ends. standard cables work just as well, and they fit cards that are in computer cases. just buy good quality basic cables.

One thing I noticed:

When I turn on just the ADA8200 with nothing plugged in it , I can see the red light ADAT out is blinking.

Is it something normal? And if not anyone knows something to try with the ADA 8200?

In all Adat units (quite a lot) that I ever had the Out connector had a constant red light emission.
(I‘m 100% sure because I used that feature to identify in/out ports) :D

sure thanks. :)
As is seems to be working more or less at 48 I think the cables are ok.

another idea, do you think it could worth it to change the I/O plate of the pulsar? I think I have 1 or 2 somewhere.

It will blink when changing sample rates, if it has nothing to do Ave to it might do this in a loop.
