The cable type is called RG59 (a 75Ohm cable), but looks identical to RG58 (50 Ohm), which is mostly known from early 10 Mhz ethernet installations.
You must use the 75Ohm type (crucial) and you better pick a quality brand, the other type will definitely fail.
All T-connectors (if needed) must also be 75Ohm RG59.
Termination is important. Some devices auto-terminate, some have switchable termination... check the docs, it‘s also crucial.

But isn‘t there still a problem with the Xite‘s wordclock operation (external sync) ?
I‘d only use wordclock from a central dedicated master clock and only if more than 2 devices need a common clock.

Otherwise Adat is equal in quality and much simpler and cheaper.

Not all terminators that claim to be RG59 are, make sure you test resistance properly yourself using a high quality meter. Once understanding the needs, this has been the main issue I've faced (largely due to ordering from Amazon and the like I might add).
