Just some of the unique features of sLiM-JiM

*NEW Two classic modes of compression including 'forward feed' for desirable and dramatic 'sucking' and 'breathing' and the 'sidechain feedback' mode as with the LeveL-DeviL for ultra smooth, automatic style compression*

*NEW flexible built-in sidechain with all built-in curves selectable and phase reversible at the same time for multi-band and totally new compression effects. External sidechain/keying also possible for ducking and de-essing (a de-essing curve is also built in!)*

*NEW quick and easy selection of attack, release and ratio controls from custom designed buttons for easily repeatble results*

*NEW 'saturation' control which offers a final stage of smooth, tape style compression/drive which can be used independently from the compression stage to fatten up weak sounds*

*NEW specially designed low frequency filter for cleaning up boomy mixes or vocals or sounds with pops and rumble*

*NEW dynamic link for smooth knee compression and dynamic ratios*
*full midi control and a huge range of professionally designed presets included*

Sorry for thread revival - is there any way one could obtain SlimJim or Level Devil? At least demos? Links above doesn't work anymore.

I personally am having a blast with Scope compressors. After several months of use I am scratching my head and wondering what the hell is happening, how come these super old devices sounds on pair with my latest UAD compressor and in some cases I prefer Scope. Some free Scope compressors sounds unreal. Like a rubber control on my dynamics. Hard to describe.

That being said I am looking to catch any kind of compressor, even for demo just to see what was I missing all along.

Official website doesn't work anymore.

Yep tried to contact him and he got back to me. I purchased his plugins (donation). Here is a link of a website he shared with me.

You can donate and get the whole bundle. So far I tried Litle Devil and it's super creamy amazing sounding compressor. Working on Xite perfectly.

I am sad that unfortunately Slim Jim which was my main interest does not work properly on Xite but it's usable. See my screenshot.

Basically you are not supposed to touch (on Xite at least) Treshold control because it behave erratically. Just clicking it act as if you set treshold to max (-96dB), even though it's not reflected on the GUI itself. Also because of this presets are screwed. You can load preset but you need to manually type in 0dB whenever preset is changed, and then you manually type in for example -12dB or whatever amount you need until you hear satisfactory level of compression.

A bit bummer but once you type in proper value of compression it sound marvelous. And it is saved and recalled in Session load.

What you need to do is to leave this completely, do not touch it. You need to manually type in treshold values as explained in my screenshot.
I am curious does this affect only my Xite installation and anyone with Slim-Jim and Xite - can you confirm my findings?

Scope does have some remarkable compressors. Apart from Simon's, the Wolf Audio ones are great (best compressor manual ever) wolfgang@wolf-audio.com, and from the SonicCore shop both DAS and dNa have superb compressors. Remember that the Orbitone Impressor is free now, although you'll still have to request a key. It has a bit more coloration than the others I mentioned, but that's a good thing sometimes.

Yup, I am in touch with Wolfgang since yesterday. I will buy his Kompressor. It's one of the best digital compressors I ever heard. Sound is special it can be compressed but natural.

I am telling you I am trying to purchase every Scope compressor out there haha

Wolfgang is on vacation (out of home) until 28.4.2022 - so I'll patiently wait for his keys.

Regarding Slim Jim sound is also marvelous, reminds me on console channel compressor. I just wish Treshold control wasn't screwed. Can anyone with Slim Jim AND Xite confirm my findings?

Asking because Level Devil works just fine so even thoigh I can make SlimJim to work as described above (pitta but works), I constantl wondering is maybe somehting else screwed in my installation. But I don't think so, since SlimJim or anything else from his package doesn't need any additional DSP installed etc. But just wondering why the Treshold react so wildly (on Xite at least)
