In terms of Noah Rack I would have no doubts about component quality. I’d assume made of same Sharcs as PCI cards and overall build quality commensurate with the Creamware brand.

@Bud, I found this : https://www.soundonsound.com/reviews/creamware-noah

Now I get what you were saying, the Noah has 6 Sharcs and the Noah Ex has 10. Which would equate I guess to higher polyphony so yeah the Ex is a way better deal if the second hand value of the Ex is not much higher.

I have pics of the innards ...
beside a lot of other chips, NoahEx has 11 SHARC DSP inside (and another "shaved" chip w/ same dimensions).
You only see with the piggy-back daughter board removed, which hides one of the Sharcs completely.

Maximum Polyphony,- model-dependent - quote from EM magazine:

Minimax, (6) notes (EX, 13)
Lightwave, (12) notes (EX, 16)
Pro-One, (5) notes (EX, 11)
Vectron Player, (7) notes (EX, 14)
B-2003 has full keyboard polyphony for each DSP slot (2 instances in standard model, 4 in EX)

Prodyssey and Profit-5 should be comparable w/ Minimax and ProOne.

:)
