Hey I found my first real bug. I think I've discovered it. Here goes:
Project: I'm digitally remastering a couple of old projects done on analog. The client wants to keep the natural ambience of that just old recorded sound. No problem.
Process: I'm dumping in a couple of the pieces of the project in a two track mode and activate the ASIO tracks inside Cubase. Everything is wired correctly in Pulsar and I have to do it as a stereo track.
What Happens: For the life of me I can't figure out why the sound is going through the mixer in stereo, out of the mixer in stereo, into the computer in stereo and showing up in Cubase as only the left side of a stereo track.
What I did to fix it: When I switched back to Pulsar and clicked on the ASIO module the little green and yellow bars on the right side of my stereo track popped to life. It ws wierd like a Fonzarelli kind of thing.
Why does it do this?
CUBASE/PULSAR BUG
Everything was set up correctly.
Graphics issue maybe. I think that I could concieve that since I could hear everything in stereo but when I was working on seeing the file it showed only mono files on Cubase in's. This is because I'm monitoring throuhg my digital mixer before I send the sound to Pulsar and then to Cubase.
Furthermore after recording it was a stereo file but only one side was recorded. The file had a line where there should have been sound.
When I clicked on the ASIO dest module everything was fine.

sounds to me like you did not have things set up correctly - are you SURE that the cubase channel was stereo, that you had both inputs enabled, that they were the correct pair of inputs, that you had the signalling correct in pulsar, and that you had your signals sent into pulsar from your mixer.
I doubt it, but if yes, then can you consistently replicate this bug, or was it a one time thing?

Pulsar Set Up (v.3.01):
ADAT Source channels into ASIO Destination
ASIO Source channels into ADAT Destination
Cubase Set Up (v.5.1R1):
Channels 1-2 set up as a stereo pair
VST Inputs set to ADAT 1L/R
Channel is enabled
Recording channel enabled/Multirecord On
VST/ASIO Monitoring off
Track Mixer channel 1-2 input button on
What's happening:
Stereo Channel is piped in through digital mixer into ADAT interface
Then into Cubase
I'm monitoring through the mixer and I hear two stereo channels (L/R)
Two Input channels on mixer are live with meters (1-2)
Two Output channels on mixer are live with meters (1/2)
Cubase is active program.
I see only left channel coming in on VU meters in Cubase (R)
When I click over to make Pulsar active program nothing happens, still sounds the same.
When I clicked on the ASIO Destination Module I hear everything as normal still but see Cubase on the oher monitor recover with 2 stereo channels (L/R).
I reactivate Cubase as the active program and procede to record. I record a stereo channel.
To duplicate this, just to see if this was a quirk I did the same thing from a fresh reboot.
Set up everything the same again.
This time I recorded with out the VU meter in Cubase (L) working. Pulsar in background, Cubase in front. Same things happened except that it recorded a stereo channel (L/R) but the (L) channel was flat lined.
I stopped the recording.
I clicked on Pulsar, clicked on the ASIO destination module (1 click) and then back to Cubase.
I continued recording.
Both (L/R) recorded!
