Cannot load v4.5 projects into v5.0

It took me a bit of trial and error but got there in the end, hope it helps

Hello,

I have OSIRIS Plugins that are not working with SCOPE v5.0. I have the keys.
"cannot find DSP file Osiris XP VxD"
I have menaged to move other DSP files for other Plugins from v4.5 to v5.0, but Osiris is the only one not working.

what should I do?

well, first things first.

if you're on xp, do you still have a v4.5 folder on your computer? if so, you must rename it or delete it. otherwise, old projects will try to load devices from v4.5 which won't work correctly.

if you're on win7, many plugins that use system resources like Osiris need to be run in Administrator mode, or they can't access the system properly(protection against certain kinds of malware built into windows 7). right click on the Scope icon on the desktop, choose "properties", press the "advanced" button and check the "run as administrator" box. you can just also right click on the icon and choose "run as administrator" if you don't want the setting to be permanent. you'd have to right click every time if you don't choose the option in the properties\advanced menu.

I am on win7 and no older installs of v4.5 or els ..just v5.0.
I am runing as administrator, Osiris is still giving same message with Vxd.

did you download the v5 version from the S|C ftp or use the old version from your v4 install?

v5.0 2603 from SC ftp.
there is nothing from v4.

vxds aren't used in v5. the file is actually osirisxp.sys it goes in the scope pci\app\sys folder.

i've attached it in the algorythmix zip folder.

I have copy all the files in their folders in my SCOPE folder but it still gives same message with VxD missing.

i'll test osiris on my system(i haven't used it for quite some time), but i believe that it WAS working....

sorry to take so long.

now i know why i didn't have Osiris loaded on my XITE. no key.
i used to have a card with Osiris and that WAS working in v5, as i remember. anyway, i'll have a key shortly and let you know what i see.

are you in 64bit? i wouldn't be surprised if 64bit didn't work. there's a sys(vxd) file involved, so Algorythmix would likely have to write a 64bit version of that file for it to work.
