Hi,
I have a pulsar with ADAT A no longer working and Sonic core say they can't repair 'those cards' any more Maybe the parts are obsolete?? I can still use ADAT B but it I get an error in Cubase. I only ever get one pair of outputs appearing and all outputs are connected together. I can just about live with this but it is disappointing... Not sure what to do... If XTC mode worked OK in 5.1 I would probably buy a new card. I'll have to have a think...
Regards
Kenf
is it the transmitter not working anymore ? no red light on that port ?
it's quite easy to replace
you could steal it from an optical out from a PC extension, if no shop available.
(or an outdated soundcard)
Is that all Pulsar/Scope cards? If so that's bad news. I'd dread it if one of mine stopped working and couldn't get it fixed. I think Sonic Core only sell the 4 DSP cards now?
I got 3 DSP cards 1x Scope Pro 14/15dsp-1x Pulsar 2(6dsp)- 1xpower sampler 3 dsp-If these packed up I would be unhappy-If they last a few more years then that will be OK/
Worst case scenario: Check out the thriving "Purchasing and Trading"-section of this forum. It shouldn't be to hard to find a really good deal on second hand PCI-cards these days. Even I have an XTC-card lying around unused somewhere
it was bound to come to this eventually - this product is like what.... at least 10-12 years old - thats a long ass time for a PC based audio product to remain relevent. I can't think of a single other PC product that has/had a similar life span (expect maybe my old microsoft keyboard which still seems to work ha ha).
Are there any old TripleDat systems still in service out there?
Yes there is.
I first met a Brotha' Rapper who wanted some licks recorded so I went to his house and he was using TDat.
I saw him a year ago and he has several other DAW's now, it's been 9 years I think, but his little brother has the TDat box on an ancient Prescott based PC and he loves it....
