Thank you for the graphic, so can someone explain why that is the situation or is the collective "brain" not powerful enough.

Hi,

If I may ask a question here....

Those 4 DSP pulsar and 6 DSP pulsars, can the latter ever be generation 1 or were they all made as gen 2.

Another problem I'm having is understanding this ULLI thing (information is either scant, scarce or non-existent at HQ).

From stuff I've read here ULLI can be implemented in software as well as in hardware and the supposed test is 3 ms latency.

Now if you are running XTC or VSTIM how can you know if there is no ASIO driver?

Thanks & I hope someone can help

Again...simple resolution.

No Scope card in PC = NO SCOPE program and therefore NO VSTim.

You need Scope running on Scope hardware.

So no one has an answer?

Typical stuff-shirts too engaged to see what the rest of the world is doing, luckily for SC they don't have to run a forum now isn't it.

Fortunately, for the future VSTIM was actually developed, now at least there is potential for non-engineering types to get on board, hey but you wonder why updates are so few and far between maybe it's because of such a snobby and exclusive (by definition limited and sacrosanct) userbase.

I try to be very level headed and clear about it.

Piss off.Get a grip and try to not waste time on randome internet boards. If your Penis needs attention stick it in a mixer.
If you do not have a mixer try a power outlet. They work great, trust me.

As I say, Cubase is causing errors in the library files when scanning, now if someone has any knowledge in order to explain why then please do.

Thank you

I was wondering if I bought 2 x AES/EBU cables, would I theoritically have 1 x AES/EBU cable if I connected both?
And does Soniccore have AES/EBU cables optimized for the XITE-1...?

Thanks In Advance...

No worries.

Glad to see people so bereft of information that they can't either share or simply don't want to.

Now I see why this system is so poorly proliferated, due to the attitudes of it's main users.

the 'main users' probably lack the time to entertain a bored chatterbox on the internet

do it yourself and sing with a shanty voice:

Trolling home, trolling home,
Trolling home across the sea,
Trolling home to dear old PlanetZ
Trolling home, dear board to thee.

cheers, Tom

It's the same situation wherever you go, take for example cubase.net, they say "go and make music" that's what the lay will write, but the moderators or anyone in the know will make mention of the fact that many more people who don't ever frequent a forum or even visit the web just to post some user-to-user interaction; they are working so how pro can one really be when they come to a forum at all?

Either bored, got no work, nothing to do or all 3.

Fortunately I have a reason to be here other than pathetic idle "sharing".

I'll have another go...

1. 4DSP cards are always gen 1. 6DSP cards are always gen 2. 3 or 14/15 DSP cards can be either, I can't remember when the change was. Must have been 2000 or 2001. If you buy a second hand card, always check the production date.

2. ULLI is a fancy name for latency of buffer settings, and yes 3ms is the lowest you can go. I honestly don't understand what you are saying with software/hardware implementation. I use scope cards in an old G3 mac, running standalone, as in 'hardware', all connected with ADAT to the sequencing computer, and the scope cards behave as hardware, as in 'virtual zero latency' (hardware synths/processors also have latency, tiny as it may be), as long as you solely work inside the scope environment. Whenever ASIO is incorporated in the chain, you get latency.

3. As I said, I'm running scope on an old OS9 mac, and there is no XTC for that platform, but I know from reading that you have to set up a basic scope project that gets loaded when in XTC mode. I'm also (practically) sure you have to have ASIO modules in that project to be able to use XTC mode. Me thinks, if you don't have a scope card, you can't set up this project, hence you get your greyed out devices in your folder and can't find the drivers.

This is as simple as it can get. We are not the developers, so we can only guess what's up with the 15th DSP... Please, let it go.

You still haven't told us which board you have.

If you don't have one, then you're only wasting your own time trying to get Cubase to see an invisible Scope system.

If you don't have a board, and haven't installed Scope, then you have no real reason to complain about us Scope users or SC in general.

So, either tell us which board you have, or leave.

p.s. wherever you go....there you are...

That's exactly what I needed to know, so if someone now could elaborate regarding ULLI, that would be totally awesome, but I can post in another thread save conflict.

Cheers

Tell you what, you read the manual for yourself. Jeez . Oh and maybe buy a card before posting as to why Scope isn't working.
