Could someone recommend me a nice case with lots of room
a few fans and for it not to be too noisy.
I have Intel DP35DP
3 PulsarII boards and 4 hard drives(at least)
I would like it to be able to house the 15DSP Board for future.
Thanks

Re: Looking for new Tower/Case
Be careful when looking at "gamer" type cases, they will say they can take a "full length card" but they mean gamer video cards (9 inches i think) and not REAL full length cards, (maybe called "pro length" or something but 312 mm)
if you dont mind a huge and heavy case, an antec 1200 has 12 spaces on the front divided in to 4 sets of 3 drive holder/fan modules
if you dont put any drives on the second to bottom one then you could easily fit 3 15 DSP scope cards in there. and you would have a fan blowing right through your cards.
each of the modules has a 12CM fan with a speed adjuster, and there are 2 more on the back (they have 3 speeds or can be turned off)
and a giant fan on the top, i think its 17 or 18 CM. all in all its pretty quiet.
you would still have room for 9 drives/optical (actually you could get some drive holders and with simple tools put even more drives in all the plentiful extra space)
I have this thing but i am not using it for my scope cards, i have an old server rack case, which had to be modified a bit to fit newer stuff in, i think it was made for pentium 2s

This is my favourite:
Lian Li PC-P80 Armorsuit Gaming Tower, with 5 big silent fans installed.
cheaper:
Chieftec big tower also have enough room, but comes without fans.
Both house one or more 15DSP Board without problems.

Re: Looking for new Tower/Case
I fitted easily 3xpro cards in an antec P190. lots of room in all dimensions.. has lots of fans with speed controllers and they can be turned off if needed. Even with all the fans off, the ventilation is very good.
It also has a twin power supply, one for the motherboard and PCIe cards, and a second one for the disks and other peripherials.. useful when you have many disks and power hungry cards.

Jimmy & I both use 4U Tower/Rackmount from SuperMicro. RAID array, hot swap bays, and plenty of room for Scope Pro cards

Re: Looking for new Tower/Case
I have one Supermicro case & one Lian Li case, both towers with custom 120mm intake cut into the side door & 120mm blowhole cut into the top (using a dremel tool.) Both cases are excellent, strong & sturdy with lots of expansion, room and good airflow with some planning.
That Coolermaster case looks good, though I would skip the Stacker & Cosmos cases from them (flimsy).

Re: Looking for new Tower/Case
I can highly recommend a Antec P182. Im very happy with mine
It'll house full length PCI cards without any mods and just simply a great quality case with loads of room. There are 2 cages which hold upto 4 hard drives each, if you dont use the middle one you have loads of room for the 300mm pci cards.
There are some good pictures here
