I have a question concerning APIC (on Intel 850 MB), WinXP and StandardPC Mode. When I tried to use Standard PC Mode with my APIC motherboard, WinXP assigned all my PCI devices to 2 IRQs. When I used APCI mode, WinXP allows me to use the extended APIC IRQs, therefore giving every card its own IRQ. Is their a way to use StandardPC and APIC extended interrupts? Does anybody have experience with this and a Abit TH7II-RAID motherboard. Thanks for the help.

Thanks,

Standard Mode usually gives each device it's own IRQ (or attempts to; sometimes devices may share depending on Motherboard architecture).

More details about Standard Mode/ACPI mode in the Tips & Tricks section under Optimize your Win2k/XP thread. Including how to change to Standard mode (required for best operation w/ Creamware and many audio apps) from ACPI mode (best way is a quick reinstall of windows).
