Problems with wrong OXE file

Post by Liquid Len »

I just bought a Dynatube Bass AG plugin, and received the following in reply :

You will get the OXE-files via download from our FTP-server :
ftp://ftp.creamware.de/Software/Scope_family/nokeys_OXE
...
Software: dynatubeBASS_AG

There is no dynatubeBASS_AG.oxe file on the server. Only a dynatubeBASS.oxe, for which the provided key does not work. Does anyone know where I can find that file? And, how do I remove the DynatubeBass file safely? Just delete the .DEV file in the plugins folder?

I already wondered why the bass amps are not seperately available like the guitar amps...
but maybe it's just like the guitar bundle (both in one package. how often were you asked for the activation string, and did you notice any change in the challenge string? I had this before with JB's Pro One where 2 keys were necessary, and had to be entered in the right order...
maybe you try to activate the other bass amp and just had to enter the key in a different request dialog..?!

deleting the .dev files should be sufficient, although you should not need to. you would just avoid to accidentially select it from your plugin list.

whether my guess is right or not, ask ralf.

well, since the bassamp oxe seems to load the AG by default (at least here), the supplied key should work immediately. if it really does not, supply the transfer string to ralf and ask him to check that. that's the only advice I can give you.
the oxe obviously installs both amps, and depending on what you bought you can select the amp and speaker model successfully, or have to fight the popups...
I can remember I had such difficulties as well with the guitar amps, but I don't exactly remember how I solved it...
