I was doing a stereo synth with a ibrid source engine: waldorf+fm, but I've got a problem trying to make the patch poliphonic. I'm doing it on the modular 1. In particular the problem is:
when I set more than 1 voice of poliphony, the patch still be monophonic. I've checked the async and the poly-out. I've already done a couple of poly patches and they worked, so I don't really understand what's not working.
Anyone has expected this? Is there a bug in the modular?
All monophonic (green) modules must be put only after the poly out.
I think that only Modular2 allows monophonic modules to act as pseudo-poly modules, expanding their equal effect on all voices.
I've found such a limitation also in some FleXor mono modules, but I've overcame it by adding a poly out after each mono module before continuing in the poly circuit. I'm not sure it can work with M1 but you can try.
Using Mono modules in the poly circuit can be useful, expecially for LFO's, when you don't want that each note retriggers a new LFO. I like to have both the options, Poly LFO for pseudo delays effects (using long release times on envelope) and mono LFO for tight rythmic modulations, so often I put a mono and a poly LFO in the patch, connected to a switch, so I can choose what effect I want.

what Alfonso said...
poly out is a module, that sums up all voice signals into monophonic signal, if you feed polyphonic signal into monophonic module without it, only 1st voice will be processed (as you've noticed )
just because you cannot imagine something that doesn't exclude it from reality.
