Check on Cubase's Tempo Track after importing a MIDI file.

Where's the Pulsar in this story?

Maybe there's a tempo-based delay running at 120bpm within the VST? I don't have the Wavestation VSTi so I can't check, but look in the effects section if it has one.

exactly the same behaviour as my Phatmatic Pro slice sample editor shows off...
if I create a midi file of the slices from the Phat window into Cubase's arrangement, I get a tempo change according to the loaded loop's precise length.
(latest Phat update is only OSX...).

Common factor: samples (waves)

When you import a MIDI file to Cubase, at the MIDI part's start point the tempo from the imported MIDI file is set, usually changing your project's tempo.

So, any time I import a MIDI file in Cubase, the first thing I do is kill the new event on the Tempo track.

that was all very intresting but the problem had nothing to do with tempo. i just found it!!! cubase running whith asio driver but wavestation with asio4forall driver. since i select asio4 in sx, tempo problem is gonne! the strange thing is that this problem did not affect the other vsti's but only wavestation and not for all tempo...
thanx to all of you.
