What do you have? What do you need? Do you need another pc, if not could you not do with a hardware-sampler?

Giga Studio. For 2nd PC is the best.
In GS Orchestra 3.0 version - 8x16MIDI and unlimited polyphony. It'd be a monster.

For the record, FX-Teleport is only Windows, the program needs to be installed on every networked (Windows) machne.
Not sure if there are platform independant LAN solutions

There are Network-level midi drivers out there that allow you to connect 2 machines via Ethernet rather than a standard midi cable. Higher bandwidth by far and the claims are that the jitter is lower as well.

If you need a sampler plugin, this is rocking my world at the moment (makes STS look like a dinosaur).

I'd forget Gigastudio unless you plan on just using huge libraries. As a sampler for your own sounds it's pretty bad.

That's what we should assemble a PlanetZ group buy for.

Hey Valis,
There is a prospective group buy in the works - check out forum.vemberaudio.com
This sampler is worth every penny... finally I can say goodbye to amateurish NI crap and get back to enjoying making music again! You have *no* idea how liberating it is

Thanks for this link, it looks great, getting the demo version now. I've been looking for a good STS/NI replacement also, this looks perfect =P.
