yeah, but to be fair, when i use quality parts and install the stuff properly, it ALWAYS works for me, even with a pc....
there IS an advantage to macs not involving the end user in the setup......

you're absolutely right Gary, but I was provoked
pc is modular, it's all in the game, so it's the user who's to blame, it's a choise.
Personally, I don't get figured why people accept that you have to dive so deep in the configuration stuff of pc's, where they would never accept that with other consumer stuff, even or specially not with cars (except the oldtimer culture).
it could be the challenge, the haunting, a 'typical' man's thing, I don't know.
I'll never forget the heart cry 'How do I know if my problem is hardware or software related'...that's exactly my problem.
I even don't wanne know that, like with my washing machine, I just wanne have my clothes washed
Anyway, with pc as DAW I would be lost, that's for sure

M$ Windows is another thing, I think I'm not blasfemic when I say that Mac OS(9) is a very user friendly and accessable system.

@Braincel, I like your way of bashing (is right word?) sometimes, I like the D-bate, but to say there's no software for the mac is totally ridiculous
tell me what I'm missing, for sure NOT the typical main M$ software, which is working perfect on my mac, be it Office, MSN or WMP
'with Apple, then you are married to the operating system.'......never heard of Virtual PC'? me never heard of 'Virtual Mac'

Oh well, love you all, it's just fun, wish you all nice holydays and a happy new year, cheers

I keep getting to sites where a file I want to view is quicktime and that is the only format available. Now apple steers you to itunes whuch I do not want! After some searching I found the quicktime player stand alone. After installing and configuring the MME so it won't take over my computer I was finally able to watch my friend's quickktime movies. I just discovered that now real media does not work! THat sucks!

I now have real audio back by disabling streaming in quicktime. Next the audio in quicktime stopped working so I had to download an update to that! How dare Apple take over real audio and then make it stop working! It's like a stupid tug of war!

Everyone thinks Microsoft is evil (and I agree) but what people don't realize is that Apple is also a greedy and bad company that is only interested in making money.

both M$soft and Apple Computers are what people (read customers) make them...
of course they are kind of greedy, but that's what separates a company from charity.

While M$ has been straight forward on this right from the beginning, the Apple story is a much more entertaining journey from evangelists determined to save the world (at least the rest of us), to melkers of the cash cow

The only fact that offends me in the context of M$ is their self proclaimed 'tech sophistication' and 'progress' blurb.
Considering the resouces available to that company their results are more than humble - to name it politely.

Some of their strategies indeed make me frown, but what really frightens me is the stupidity of their customer base.

Either they repeat or echo each and every marketing nonsense (unreflected) or they are just too lazy to think themselves.
It starts to become a problem if the latter applies to well educated (probably) and accordingly paid executives - regular folks just follow anything as usual.

I consider Apple too smart to trace their targets in the afforementioned style, but nevertheless the same potential of extending (and abusing) control exists.

I cannot understand why people would store their private data (or backup their work) on an external server of a company without the slightest amount of influence.

Obviously Apple marketing departement is much better than me in estimating people's behaviour and demands - and they've impressively demonstrated their potential to score with the iPod and the first profitable music download service.

But finally it's the customer who decides - in any case...

I didn't start this and I am not going to get into who has a more stupid customer base. Apple clearly wants to make it easier for stupid people so you would think that would attract them. Most of the very smart people I know who were using Macs now use a PC running Microsoft for pragmatic reasons, some also use a flavor of Linux.

inspired by Hubird's suggestion in the 'Ambience' thread:

the CD100 truely deserves a release on it's own

it is the absolutely best 'chorus' thing I ever tried and it really exceeded my expectations by lightyears
Maybe it should be advertized in a way that the chorus aspect isn't too prominent, as everyone of course already has (at least) a bunch of such plugs.

since it's a reward for P100 customers only, too many users will miss it - making it pretty exclusive, though
I dunno what's behind this programatically, but it's just the right parameters to enhance almost anything - from slightly to full FX.
It's the $$-gear maker...

Hi,

Well thank you

There's a reason - It's a bundle like a100+i100 or the forthcoming h100+c100.

Cheers

the 'serial' you received is automatically generated by the shop system for customers of native plugins.
The type of 'number' already shows that this can never be a SFP key, much too short

If you have received the plugin it will generate a 'request string' on first launch.
Copy that string as the box suggests and send it by email to STW, preferably to Craig (CC).
(you'll have to click a dozen dialogs telling you something is unregistered)

Craig will answer with the proper keycode real soon - but don't forget: email isn't bulletproof. If the answer takes too long it might as well be that one of the mails got lost.

I did receive the serial key and had sent the strings to Craig. He emailed me back confirming that they were alright, got three boards btw, all three strings were sent and were approved by Craig.

As you told me, the serial key only serves for approval.

when launching the device I'm prompted with the registration dialog that goes like this:

" ###BEGIN_OF_TRANSFERSTRING###
<0000005> as the serial number
<019DNA-NNTN3CA-JDRLAND-SNRZPNP-NQN7>
###END_OF_TRANSFERSTRING###

After that I'm prompted with the invalid key dialog.

there must be something I'm doing wrong here, could you please correct me, thanks in advance.

you have to pick one board unless you want to aquire multiple licenses - or STW is a little more generous than CWA
As far as I remember (I have 2 boards) there's a dialog to pick the board from before the request string thing appears.

For simplicity I have all devices registered to one board, so I could sell the other one without concerns, but that's just a personal preference.

Anyway, if you have devices on all boards registered and sent strings for all of them, the key that Craig sent you applies only to one board. If there's no hint to which one, you have to try one after the other - but you probably knew (and tried) that already.

hi,

this one goes to all of you on possession of the bundle reverb. Could anyone tell me how to install the device, as I not being fed back by Craig from SonicTimeworks. I guess he's rather pissed off by the fact that I've emailing him for some troubleshooting. I asked him to send me a manual or something like that as this is the only way to figure out how to install it. The device was shipped with the manual alright, but there's was no mention on how to install the bundle. I did send the string to craig for the activation process, I was consequently fed back with the approval. As I could not install it due to a problem that is beyond my knowledge, I kindly emailed craig for some help. This is craig last quote : "Have you entered the number: 4EDT0H5888YYO Have into the registration
window????

Craig.

Of course that's not the real serial but I was sent the correct one.

This is Astroman's quote here : "the 'serial' you received is automatically generated by the shop system for customers of native plugins.
The type of 'number' already shows that this can never be a SFP key, much too short"

So why on earth is Craig asking me to enter the serial key into the resgistration window then!

So could anyone explain this please, as Craig does not know what is really going on here, thanks in advance for your replies.

ps: If it does not work, will I be refunded ?
