Re: Studio chair
For me, office chairs, a neat size. No arm rests tho! Can't play bass with arm rests on! Usually, you can simply remove arm rests, but in some you cannot. If you'll be on the chair for extended periods, make sure heights etc. are ergonomic. Check out recommendations online, be aware of them at least...

Re: HP XW6200 Firewire
Windows sees the 1394 device in Device Manager, yeah? OHCI? But doesn't see the Focusrite? If Windows doesn't see the device, then I would check that the PCIe slots in your motherboard aren't disabled in the BIOS... Can you see the Focusrite getting power (maybe it isn't bus powered..)? Or any light...

Re: System crashes ASIO
Guess you could try upping the ulli rates in scope ASIO too. And check for irq sharing. I improved stability I believe when I disabled some devices sharing irq with Scope.

Re: What plugins are missing in Scope? What do you want more
Again, cool stuff Faxi! Looks like you're modelling the JP8080 - which is a fine sounding VA - good bass and high end, nice to see the 2-band EQ there... :-) Has great snappy envs, and of course the supersaw, which is lovely for thick pads (not into the cheesy Lady Gaga leads myself). Few questions ...

Re: What plugins are missing in Scope? What do you want more
I know DJ Micron has created Modular versions of some stock instruments (e.g. http://forums.scopeusers.com/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=31095), and John Bowen's Prowave comes in a Modular module format too (http://www.hitfoundry.com/issue_10/pro_modu.htm) - would you consider opening up some parts of th...

Re: What plugins are missing in Scope? What do you want more
Cool, gotcha. So you're getting 5-voice poly from a single PCI Sharc chip? Or, does the 5-voice poly apply one Xite Sharc? If you get 5 voice poly from a PCI Sharc, could you get many times more Poly from an Xite Sharc in theory? Have a 20 voice Xite "build" of the device? I dunno, I might...

Re: What plugins are missing in Scope? What do you want more
fm to osc2 is always coming from the sine output of osc1 regardless of set shape, so you always get clean crispy fm for smooth psychedelic sounds Nice! Good decision, to keep any inherent nastiness out of the Oscs. With the Ring Mod in there, for something wilder, the Ring Mod will do the trick, wi...

Re: What plugins are missing in Scope? What do you want more
Wow! Man that looks absolutely wicked!! Superbly chosen feature set (loads of cool stuff to play with!), really immediate interface, and looks the biz... Bit like a Nord Lead 2 in the feature set, with some tasty effects on top. For me, NL2's unison is one of its strongest features - you nail that, ...

Re: Del T1500
Hi, I've a T3500, works fine with Scope. Not sure of the differences to T1500.. PSU went in it, memory bus is throttled relative to the specs, and bios is basic (no overclocking options for example), so the motherboard isn't anything to write home about, but generally, all is good. Think I got 8 in ...

Re: Will be scope 6 too ambitious ?
Fix the few bugs, that's all that's needed. They're well described. I don't think many folk here would complain to spend money on a Scope 5.2, binning the samplers, minimal bugs elsewhere, optimisations for Xite DSP allocations, maybe a new device that leveraged Xite's memory, maybe a reworking / 'r...

Re: What plugins are missing in Scope? What do you want more
Bud Weiser's suggestions are cool. Plenty other good ideas here too. I agree with eHasting - an LFO device. Similarly, an amplitude envelope follower - sending nominated midi CC out, with scaling - with a switchable EQ before the detector circuit, for some frequency-dependent env following. Put a Mi...

Re: Nails in the Coffin
To summarise this useful page on the matter (https://www.physicsforums.com/threads/why-is-relativity-still-a-theory.101051/): Observed phenomena are fact. Explanations for observed phenomena are theories. Theories aren't facts. They assist in the explanation of facts. Sometimes, it seems people have...
