Re: SCOPE 5 experience

I'm sticking with V4.5 for now because of 2 reasons: - Because I'm working on a big V4.5 project, I'm not willing to risk the fact that the same project will cause DSP overload in V5. (reported several times) - I'm patient enough to wait for the final V5 version, wich will probably have less bugs an...

Re: SCOPE v5 PCI RC is available!

Congrats S|C! And as no one received the new keyfile yet, there's plenty of time to read the manual: C:\Program Files\SCOPE PCI\Manual\  Can't wait, go ahead Ralf :) Cheers Roman But I assume that practically everything is the same as V4.5 , functionality wise? Great upgrade though :)

Re: SCOPE v5 PCI RC is available!

Great news! I'll patiently finish my last project in V4.5, and then I'll move to V5 (proably the official, non-RC version). :)

Re: Monoizer

You could also try Alfonso's free XOver insert slot and insert a stock stereo expander in the lower freq slot and set the slider all the way to the left to make the lower freqs mono. You can set any crossover frequency you want between the upper and lower insert slot. Are you looking for something l...

Re: SPL Transient Designer/Attacker (alternate use)

Thanks for this tip voidar, totally makes sense.
I wonder how one can calculate the sample delay of a certain fx module. Is there a sort of sample delay calculator to apply on any device that I'm not aware of?
Thanks again!

cheers Darcy

Re: Scope Xite-1 available... Is Scope 5 available for download?

I see that S|C updated the homepage yesterday or today. But there's still no additional info about the release of V5 for the old scope hardware users. It doesn't really bothers me right now, because I'm in the middle of a project in scope 4.5, but I'm very excited about the possible new features/bug...

Re: Jimmy any word about new comp and EQ?

Yeah, I'm curious too! I bet those new stock EQ's and compressors are still very light on DSP (For XITE it's not an issue anyway :P) and better sounding than the old stock comps/EQ's.... :)

Re: compressors vs scope compressors

Hi Gary, Now that I read my previous post, it does sound a bit negative (well only the word "bad"), so let me rephrase what I mean. The current stock compressors are the only ones that don't fit my needs. Personally I don't like the compression algorythm and can't get the desired result ou...

Re: compressors vs scope compressors

The stock compressors are cool for side-chaining application. I.e. ducking bass/guitars to kick in a clean way. Exactly. For normal compression the current stock compressors are pretty bad, but for sidechaining they are great. Very light on DSP. The only bug is that you have to use it on its own be...

Re: SCOPE XITE-1 is shipping!

Great news! I'm also very curious about V5 for my current cards comig out in a day or two. I hope there are some bugfixes too, e.g. MIDI assignments being remembered after reopening a project. Maybe there even might be an option to hide some virtual "cables" to improve the overview of the ...

Re: Thomann: XITE-1 available at short notice (usually 2-5 days)

Hmm I don't know. It could be that the availability date changes automaticly by the computer to get to the intended 29.4.2009.
And we've seen the availability date being changed several times. Personally I think this is not the moment yet.

Sorry for not being clear in my previous post, I mean the sound starting from 1:40, where you are tweaking on a certain module. I'm just curious what it is.
