Re: Scope 7
Nightmare… What is odd is that when I was sorting stuff out. I was about to give up on Mattomat as every time I loaded it it would blue screen of death. But for some reason once I had successfully opened convolveq and other das plug ins and the Analyzer, I decided to give mattomatt another go, then...

Re: Scope 7
Have you tried re installing all 64bit files for all your plugs that need it and reinstall the .sys files for mattomatt and then restart and reload scope. Load Mattomat, and if it crashes just try restart and load again… I’m my experience having c350 and masterit screws everything up , if you had t...

Re: Scope 7
Mattomat works with Scope 7 on Windows 10 64bit. I had to replace all files in Scope 7 - even this: \app\script\SurfaceInterface.pep Something strange occured on my pc. After crash to blue screen (caused by wrong .sys-file or dsp-file) the device crashed next time, even if the wrong file was replac...

Re: Ocean Swift - Formula X - THE BEAST UNLEASHED! Out Now!
One difference we must take account of is that scope is external hardware!! It’s not a vst where un timely computations are buffered… so with a crap midi sync a vst will sound fine as the crap ness of it is delayed to tighten it… Anything outboard, if you don’t use a tight midi clock, it WILL sound...

Re: Ocean Swift - Formula X - THE BEAST UNLEASHED! Out Now!
In my experience you get more drift with midi click sync as it does not reset every time you play a note. With internal sync its tight, really tight. Exactly righty to when you play a note. So suppose if you only play note “out off time” that’s when midi sync would be Helpful (not that I’ve tested ...

Re: Ocean Swift - Formula X - THE BEAST UNLEASHED! Out Now!
Does the Formula X LFO sync to midi clock? The manual says something like’it will sync to the device’s bpm settings’, so I guess the answer is no. But can anyone confirm? Are you automating the tempo or something? From what I know it was an active decision to not include sync to midi clock.. The in...

Re: Ocean Swift - Formula X - THE BEAST UNLEASHED! Out Now!
Does the Formula X LFO sync to midi clock? +1 for your Q A: NO, midi clock in/out was not implemented! (tested FormulaX.dev) but it would have been easy and could be readjusted in a few seconds if OSS wanted it... 3 connections and a button "int/ext" https://oceanswift.net/contact/ Contac...

Re: New S|C website and SCOPE XITE-1 pricing
the price of XITE units will significantly increase soon. No problem. My "Xite-2" has enough DSP power and I/O already :) Xite-2.jpg :o What ? Can you tell us a bit more please ? Is that just only a standard 1:1 D-Sub cable connecting XTDM bus of both XITEs ? Are you (beta-) testing somet...

Re: home recording mistakes
Ha - good one. I think I agreed with everything, but I wondered a bit about the first example of ‘Not soundproofing’. So I agree that putting foam wedges on the walls do not sound proof. But, have you then added some ‘acoustic treatment’ ? I would rather have called it acoustic mistreatment. IMHO, t...

Re: Do I really need a new mixer?
I think new mixers are neither built to last nor (easily) servicable, so I would not go that way. It seems like mixers are a thing of the past. My setup is quite old school, and I actually use the 8 busses on my Studer 963, similar to how you do it, hooking them up to my Xite-1 via converters/adat. ...

Re: Copy protection error Xite-1
I know some electronics, but electrical (high power) is a mystery to me. However, I suspect that different cord lengths could impact (ground) potential differences and/or phase differences. If you want to explore Vallis' theory, you could try to start with only Xite and Xite computer connected to on...

Re: Copy protection error Xite-1
Please try Xite & PC on the same power chain, with a similar length of cable to reach each. Sometimes called 'star' or 'octopus' pattern for power distribution. First, this sounded strange, but you may have nailed it! I used to get the copy error stuff every time I turned on an external DAC con...

Re: Scope 7 Bug List
I agree with you, the very same happened to me when Scope 7 was released. With Scope 5 no problems with syncing. Scope 7 with the very same setup instantly cuts of BNC word clock on my old PC (based on X58 chipset). That means syncing could work basically with all setups, as it has ever before. Tha...
