I can see how thst sts series may have been good in the past for users coming from experience with the akai platform . I can hear how it sounds good using the akai samples supplied with the power sampler . When it comes to trying to make an inst from samples one already has I have to say STS doesn't...

No I guess I dont compute for a lot of people . O.K. STS is crap... forget it ..if you have a lot of akai samples well maybe it's good but ...I'd rather live with kontakt at 7 milli than ever again go for building a kit from wav Celmo's stuff seems good . I guess it's modular stuff but you can get a...

The roland has as far as I know a limited amount of assignable notes out . My six drum wav. samples turn up in t...

Well there's the stress of megabucks and there's the stress of food on the table and there's the stress of getting up earlier than one would wish and the stress of overindulging in one's favourite stress avoidance devices isn't there ? I can really do without it but unfortunately it never seems to b...

About 6 months ago I heard some tracks from a chick here in Oz [dont know her name the producer was very cagey] who had found a new and excellent way to yodel in a contemporary idiom ,I kid you not !! She does it so well that it could be a new approach if her proj doesn't self destruct . Think about...

Who's comparing ?? I was just mentioning two instances of a technique both of which I'm fairly partial to as opposed to instances of the technique that I'm not partial to ,as in doing it all the time when the context doesn't really suit . I think the relevant bit is "I'M" . If there is one...

roccoco and rollolo.
Arab singing is very melismatic(?) isn't it but it works big time in that style . I guess it's context and application . I like beyonce quite a lot and she indulges in a bit of melisma but importantly not every friggin note .

Didn't someone say you'll never go broke underestimating the tase of the general public . Seems to me overornamentation in any field comes just before the whole thing collapses under the weight of it's own stupidity
