Mix to AB (Mono)

I use this to send various mono signals to external mono effects (such as spring reverb tanks ;-) ) Not a router/merger. Just 2 x Mix3 modules into 1 device. with vu-meters, to save space in the project window. No midi or presets. A more sophisticated version can be found here: https://www.forums.sc...

Re: will this spring reverb work as an aux (impedance/RCA)

HiZ to Line = guitare pedals with Line out are probably the best bet. -- Mooer Radar works fine (had one already - but buying it just for this might be overkill, eventhough it is nice to have a choice of cab sims to enjoy a variety of sounds with the same tank). --- Ordered a Harley Benton MiniStomp...

Re: will this spring reverb work as an aux (impedance/RCA)

Hello, I wanted to add that I got a DI Box but it did not work (output is 600 ohms mic level, but it was weak as hell, probably faulty or made for something else). So I returned it. So far only HiZ inputs worked straight away, as well as my old Mooer Radar pedal that is line compatible (but the pric...

Re: Dubby 3 Follow up

this is how Del Ray sounds after a hardware spring reverb. https://spacef-devices.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/Mixdown-Test-TD8BB-DelRay.mp3 There are tricks that allows to use real spring reverb, with a very low budget (with headphone otputs and HiZ or DI, and get great results) Check this thread...

Re: will this spring reverb work as an aux (impedance/RCA)

Thanks ! I recorded a short mp3 'link below) of the pictured setup on a piano from the DAW. It's a short "8BB" model from Tube Amp Doctors. I will probably get a 9BB (long+3spings) next month (because I saw it demoed on a video of the Benidub sping amp (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vIYR...

Re: will this spring reverb work as an aux (impedance/RCA)

Ok, at last, 1 year later, here is my rig for a Spring reverb on line outputs. One can use headphone output of Xite to send directly to a spring reverb, Here are two YT tutorials about that: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CXJdSREWxxY https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vIryyi3bp-c&t=1s but I need t...

Re: Dubby 3 Follow up

If you haven't tried, I advised the following for a "sound on sound effect" 1. Connect the delays to a regular stereo track of a mixer, not to the aux returns. 2. use a merger like Mix 3 S to connect the aux sends from the mixers to the delay 3. use the aux send of the mixer to send back t...

Mix3S

A simple merger for 3 stereo channels to 1. I use it a lot in my projects, before aux effects, outputs to effects or else. I probably already released a device like this one in a pack or another. This one is very close to the scope mix atom, so it's as light as it can be (no preset, no midi, no desi...

Re: Dubby 3 Follow up

Del-Ray is released and sent.
There are a few delay time presets, that reproduce what I saw on screeshots/manual of the nux tape echo pedal (basically a 1, x2, x 1.5 multiplication of the previous delay line (eg: 100, 200, 300).
have fun !

Re: Dubby 3 Follow up

This is Del-Ray a stereo-to-mono-to-stereo delay based on Dubby 3 with modified features to make a sound closer to vintage delays which were mono. The signal begins as stereo at the input, insert Fx and VCA, and then it becomes mono when it reaches the 3 first delay line "pre-filters". - p...

Dubby 3 Follow up

I am doing a fully mono version, with autopan. Might need to sacrifice the last insert to put new controls on the panel. In the meantime, if you have any request for Dubby 3 , I will be happy to consider (and if DSP allow). to-do list: Delay II Pan labels Delay II Panpots tooltip/midi cc labelling (...

Re: will this spring reverb work as an aux (impedance/RCA)

H all ! Thanks Astroman ! and sorry for the delay (I thought I replied to your suggestion, almost 1 year ago) . there is another thread where we talked about impedance , and as their is a part about spring tanks, I copy it here. Basically a spring tank of type "BB" will work fine with a he...

Re: Reamp with Xite (solutions)

Yes, I will certainly get a reamp device (if I knew how to make mine... I tried but I am not productive with electronics (there are concepts that I still can't visualize in my mind, so bacsically, I don't understand them :-) (and soldering....) Anyway, on another subject I copy a mail exchange with ...

and if you need to send it for repair, you should use something like DHL or UPS etc. A few years back, I wanted to save money and sent it with a regular package through national post service (guaranteed etc) but the package was lost and took more than 6 months or so to arrive at SC... it's a very lo...

Re: Crackling on XITE-1 outputs

just to eliminate other issues, I found that cables can be problematic. I had a lot of issues with cables in the past, especially some expensive ones that were supposed to be miraculous. No crackling, but weird sound coming back and forth like if the volume was modulated by a sine wave. I also wante...

Re: Reamp with Xite (solutions)

however, a proper reamp box might be useful for the integrity of the sound of a distortion pedal or whatever is the first pedal in the chain (I have read that the input impedance of distortion/fuzz etc may vary because it is a part of how it is supposed to sound). I also did not do a sine wave test,...
