Well I can't speak for erminardi, but what I got from his message that he was annoyed that he would have to pay the full price x2. Buying it for 2 systems isn't a problem from my point of view, but everyone paying the same price is what doesn't make sense to me.

I think his point is that it would be a lot fairer if there's a half-price upgrade (200EU vs. 400EU). The lack of an upgrade basically devalues Mod3, making it mean nothing. Mod4 is not a new product - it's mostly Modular3, with some new modules. Anyway I've made my point and have nothing more to say on the matter. It's a sad day for me but as you say life goes on.

Of course Tom, was not implying otherwise. But the question was about device files Obviously the devices would be useless without the DSP and other support files within the Scope app.

In theory if they make a proper Mac version, the devices shouldn't need to be ported. The old versions of Scope for OS9 used the same device/module files as Windows as far as I know.
