Might be the router, if it expects some more „modern“ security scheme.

Re: New Nektar LX 49+ review first use
Well... I have to admit both injuries are self induced by lack of care  The broken hand was fixed by nails and I was naive (young) enough to go start a new job. In a steel factory, moving tons of metal by hand, individual parts up to 50 pounds. It didn‘t hurt, so it was ok... Left hand tendons...

Re: New Nektar LX 49+ review first use
Fortunately no problems with pain, just crippled... Left hand tendons of ring and pinky, right hand broken in my youth and restricted range of movement. I changed to kind of upright style left hand mode on bass, but fretless seems a serious challenge. (got one since a couple of months and because it...

astroman > https://www.forums.scopeusers.com/viewtopic.php?p=348075&hilit=mixer+phase#p348075 Thanks for the link. Bottomline seems to be it only strikes if you have the same source on parallel paths AND you modify the project in a way that triggers DSP rearrangement. I‘m using Dynamic Mixer(s)...

Great that the Nektar serves you well...
Myself can‘t handle keyboards properly any more, but found an alternative in MPC keypads.
Exchanging the pad sensor sheet in my 4k made a huge difference and I‘ve developed some habits to deal with the 4x4 scheme and octave switching

Re: Dante I/O device
... Scope's phase alignment between mixder channels is random and i learned it decades ago the hard way - you load it up and it sounds different than the time you saved it! DAW takes care of channel alignment and there XTC-wrapped scope things behave consistently. Never noticed that... :o ... how a...

Re: Dante I/O device
Yeah,- my post was meant ironically,- almost. as I suspected, but anyway... :D The M Macs (and mobile devices) are nice machines, energy efficient and great audio performance. Their sound processing is strangely „over-precise“, maybe technically close to perfect, but not pleasing to the ear if it’s...

DAW applications are just a tiny fraction of their portfolio.
They earn a lot with guitar pedals, car audio, let alone TigerSharcs for medical, military or cellphone processing.
And of course sophisticated industrial solutions...

If you have to deal with holes, this thing is really useful:
https://eleshop.eu/desolderingstation-zd-915.html
It‘s crap from a professional pov, but does a good job on occasional use.
(same item is sold under various brands)

Re: Luna - Left Output Dead
Dunno about the 25, but 47 is a common capacity value (microFarad) and 6V suggests voltage. Which results in middle row capacity and bottom row voltage. The caps are SMD types supposed to be applied to solder pads. The original ones are a pain to solder by hand, but a similar style version with cont...

Re: certain scope synths and modules causing stuttering while modulating midi
Sorry for missing this detail, but it should have been obvious from your original post already: you do the control via a hardware dial and in that case the midi transmission line has to considered, too  Cable whip connection and opto-coupler on board, iirc I‘ve had fails on both, very few over...

Re: 18 months later with scope as a standalone
The machiones don´t run simultaneously all the time here,- I power up what and when I need. :) I‘ve also developed this habit. When energy prices were 1/3 of current figures (and my revenues significantly higher), I used to run the whole setup (often 24/7). Now I even consider which rack units are ...

Re: 18 months later with scope as a standalone
To each his/her own... I couldn‘t be happier with my Asus 5 slot Pentium4 mobile running 3 Pulsar-2 on their own interrupt. (at a humble 2 ghz, Win 7/32 with no internet connection, no updates). Even lower specs on my G4/800, MacOS 9, with it’s 1GB system drive (an industrial SSD plugged into the ID...

Re: 18 months later with scope as a standalone
6 DSP is a very tight modular budget. I have 18 and would describe it as „sufficient“, good workhorse, but far from powerful.
(and I‘m humble on polyphony, rarely using more than 2 voices)
If your budget allows, it seems Sonic Core still has some 6 DSP boosters (new old stock) for less than $300.

Re: certain scope synths and modules causing stuttering while modulating midi
I just tried it on Scope 5.1, Win7/32 with same result on Inferno. No problem with a Flexor LP4 Legend filter in Mod2 shell (as the only module of the patch). Flexor is version 3. Iirc ages ago there was an optimization of parameter control (interpolation against stepping). Maybe the midi section of...

Re: Luna - Left Output Dead
It‘s the top 2 in the row of caps you mentioned. Just unsolder and then solder in switched order, which will make the left channel come back... IF the cap is faulty or connection was broken. In the latter case both channels will be up again because you healed the broken connection. That‘s a relative...

Re: Luna - Left Output Dead
Did the fail happen in the middle of a session without plugging the output connector ? If it has been plugged frequently, the socket is worth checking. It‘s the upper one of the 2 TRS sockets and you may solder a temporary cable to the big connectors on the backside. (the 2 big spots at the end of t...

Re: Cool Gear PCI to PCI Expansion
That it explains it... totally forgot about V1 :D (but will check specs) There might be an option to exchange the 2 host connection cards (assuming the slot system is identical). With Scope I have no problems regarding heat, the PC is the bottom layer of my rack with open top and 1 empty unit above ...
