I normally have big project. I normally use as much as I can. Even 14DSP are not enough and I have to submix some channels in Cubase.

So what's better as host?

Btw. thanks for your answers.

I'm really not sure about the built-in (channel) compressor(s). I tried using it on the bass & bass drum but however I set it up, it actually reduced punch and presence. I gave up and used the standard SFP effect as an insert in the end. I think I might go back to using the 1632 mixer as I just...

Hallo! I asked for samo multibands comps and there are some. Great. The dadev-plug ins are not bad but too DSP hungry! But Final Liza is really great! My wishes: 1. A four band version 2. A two band version (less DSP when you need only two bands) 3. A one band version (dito) With a one-band version ...

SPDIF-in is useless for me when pulsar must be slave to it. I have enough inputs now.

Never change a running system...I did and I get the invoice... Ok...I though version 4.0 works fine now. I made a "prototype" of my new mixing project. 32 tracks including a lot of comps and EQ. A 2448 mixer and a dynamic mixer in chain. Every channel of the 2448 got some controllers on ch...

I know the spdif-in doen't work with pulsarI.
I have another partition for office stuff and there is still pulsar 2.04. Spdif in works there.

I only upgraded to 4.0 because of the newer plugins.

For the rest: see my new thread...;-(

But the projects remembers the settings of other plugins, even Sonic Timeworks etc.

How do I save a device? A preset?
I'm working with pulsar for four years now, but I never had to do this.

If you mean 3.01c, the old pulsar software, not SFP 3.1_: Theres is one bug, I really hate: The extern-FX inserts "forgot" their routing after leloading. Indeed they do not only forgot it but they are loaded ealier than the adat-devides an so the ins and outs could not be find and those er...

Some Threads below a I asked a similar questions. I also don't understand the board ordering. I thought it must be the following: All cards in the order of windows. Means indirectly the order of pci slots. The card in Slot 2 befort slot 3 and so on. _But_ the newer cards came first. So I would assum...

I just updated from pulsar3.01c software to scope 4.0. All seems to work fine now. But I regognized that I can load my old projects, but scope forgots the EQ and Comp setting in the pulsar mixer channel! Is this normal? All pulsar mixer channels are assinged to midi controllers (fader, solo, mute, p...

Can someone explain how Scope numbers the boards? I cannot see any systematic. My configuration is: PCI 2: Pulsar SRB PCI 3: Pulsar II PCI 4: Pulsar I It was simply triel-and-error to make the pulsar II to the first card by editing the cset.ini. I cannont distinguish the 4DSP card from each other in...

Hi!

I'm looking for a multiband compressor.
Not for mastering, but as insert in some channels. That means additionally to the good sound it must not need to much DSP Power.

Any suggestions?
I know there are several outside, but I don't know them.

A slot fan is good for cooling CW cards.

Indeed my system crashes and the pulsar hanged up (and killing my high tone speaker of my JBL LSR32 by producing 0dB of white noise!!!!). Since I have installed a slot fan it never happend again.
