prof. Meter and Analyzer

Hi, I looking for a professional Meter (peak and VU) and a spectral analyzer for mastering with scope. I played with some devices, but there are more or less play tools. Especially the analyzer I found in "devices" here is quite useless. The level resolution may be to low. I used to work w...

Hi, I checked this with scope Midi monitor. No active sensing. Only note on/off like expected. Notmidi thru as far as I could see. The strange thing is that it took some time (aprox an hour) until the first crash and then nealy every 20-30min. At first I thought it was a temperatur issue, but I let ...

Computer Freezes

Hi, my computer freezes while using Creamware Scope together with CubaseSX3. Randomly it freezes completely and plays a short loop of sound. Like a mashine gun or strange bassdrum. I figured that it must have something to do with midi in Cubase. When I do not use Midi in Cubase there are no problems...

Sonic Timeworks re-registering problems

Hi, did someone of you try to transfer the keys of STW from one board to another? It took 4 weeks now!!! STW only responsed when they could tell me, I had the keys and do not need one! (I mistakely send them my old request string instead of the serial.) It took on week until they told me that I have...

No luck! End even more strange...the setting in cset.ini [board0] boardid=0 etc. pp. seems to heve no effect. I tried all 7 possibilities. 012, 021, 102, 120, 201, 210 and no entries. The DSP dialog only shows te 6 DSPs of the pulsar 2 first and then 2x four DSP of the pulsarI and SRB. An in the hea...

Are you using more than 1 Pulsar board?
Yes, I do.
PulsarII, PulsarI and PulsarI SRB.
And did you manually change the sequence of the boards in cset.ini?
Not on the new computer.

But I will play with this.

Hi! Some month ago I started a thread about direct monitoring with Cubase VST 5.1. ASIO direct monitoring did not work with scope 4.0 but it did with 3.1. (if you check "direct monitoring" there's nothing to hear, but uncheckt you hear the input signal routed through cubase) Someone told m...

cubase playback is in the mixer, monitored. the source is in the mixer, monitored. they are in the same time zone(the scope mixer) and so latency is not an issue.
Not latency, but mixer channels...

>p.s. why punchin in on the same audio track? >we are not working on 8 tracks tape >machines..... Yes. We are working on DAWs that allow several "virtual" tracks on each track. Every programm I know (Cubase, Logic, Samplitude, Protools) can handle diverent versions on the same track.

Hallo Hubird! Don't know why its so complicated to explain. I simply don't want any difference in signal routing (for monitoring) for playback and recording. Except in the first case the signal comes from Cubase and in the second case from outside. (by using "direct monitoring" also from c...

Hallo!

No effects, just routing, sometimes Level.
Until now I thought it is a normaly way to record. Because it'S similar to the working flow with analog machines or ADATs.

Hallo Hubyrd! I know what you want to say. But: it's exactly the other way round. I don't want to send signal I hear to ASIO, I want to hear the signals I sent to ASIO. I your case, how do you route the recorded signals into your mixer for playback. I seldom use any creamware-FX for recording. And t...

Hallo At0m! I use the normal drivers coming with software 4.0. ASIO2-32 Source64. But it didn't work with other ASIO2-drivers. To usefullness of direct monitoring: Imagin you record drums or guitar with 3 tracks. In this way ASIO direct monitring is the only way to use the same signal path for playb...

Hallo! The problem is not if "direct monitoring" is useful or not. (Indeed it is, I like monitoring during recording through the same routing than during playback this track. It's a normal behaviour of any tape-machine! Monitoring trough another channel dirctly in scope is a lousy workarou...

I havent really tried SX. At a first look I was not so impressed to spend the money.

But can you tell me if "direct monitoring" works with your setup?

Hallo! Why doesn't Asio direct monitoring work with scope 4.0 (and Cubase VST5.1)? On both systems Win98 and XP only silence is to hear when activate the "ASIO direct monitoring" checkbox in the Cubase Audio setup dialog. With the old 3.01 pulsar software it worked! What's the problem? Doe...
