actually this is a new install, it's an XPSP1 fresh from the install CD.
And yes, I think I have a weird Creamware card. When I first installed Pulsar version 2 on my PC, I also had a problem registering the software, it didn't want to start either.

I am finally migrating from Pulsar 2.04 to SFP3.1c, while upgrading my OS to Windows XP (fresh install). I have a problem, however: I can't seem to import my "allkeys.skf" file during installation. No matter what I try, the "next" button remains greyed out. I remember having similar problems ...
