Thanks rodos - I will try all that. A suspect STDM Cable does sound like it might be the culprit. Soul Synth - If it were the A16 I that had gone I should be able to get sync when its not connected using the card as master. No lucky here. Thanks to all. Please cross fingers, toes and..... Just tie a...

I might have agreed except that the cards had worked wonderfully in this machine for about 6 months until the sync dropouts began. The case itself is a large case with plebty of ventilation, the downside being noise which I have lived with for the sake of knowing that the cards are well cooled. This...

I've not seen him play for quite a while now but I saw him play a 6hr set with John Digweed on their Northern Exposure tour here in Australia about 6 - 7 years ago now. It may have had to do with the fact that the most common gear getting around for that event was candy flips but for my mind that wa...

Yeah you can do all that. If you were to use the Multiface breakout with your CW Cards you would be limited to the ADAT interface but thats not hard to live with at all. If you want to run both cards then I would suggest your best way to do it would be to run you RME as your ASIO Interface and make ...

Start Menu -> Control Panel -> System Properties -> Hardware Tab -> Device Manager. From here you expand 'Computer' and you will find that your PC will be in ACPI mode.... UNLESS!! You PC is not ACPI capable. XP Examines your hardware during installation and installs ACPI by defualt if it can. If yo...

Long time no be here. How are we all? Just thought that I should raise this... Are we all aware that XP is just Win NT 5.1?? MS have even verified this. I should also point out that the differences between a fully patched/SP'd Win2k and XP Pro are purely cosmetic. John I've had W2K on my DAW for a c...

I need to learn more about what Rewire actually does... -mythalethe Essentially it binds Cubase and any Rewire Slave app together to work as one. They lock toghether in synch ( i have heard reports of imperfections with this but never exerienced them ) You can then select Reason devices in Cubase a...

Yep that will be the best way for now. There a replug for CW cards the cream Vst and some are free. (See Celmo Guitar amp modeller, I use it for anything) You can use the freebies and try the demos with what you have then spend for extra DSPs if you're inspired enough. This ios the beauty of CW you ...

DSP's are an addiction and I feel it is my duty to inform you of that fact. It is however a rewarding addiction nonetheless.... By the way. The Luna II is much more about being a low cost IO card (with a very high IO count for its price) with advanced mixing capabilities than an effect/plugin card. ...

Look, I can only draw from examples that I see or experience first hand of course I can't say I know anyone who is doing any serious music work that is not an owner of the software they use. Sure I know heaps of guys that have warez and they have dodgy machines no additional hardware, at best a SB L...
