Re: [SOLD] 2x SCOPE home ADAT Expansion

I have debated grabbing items like this just to have them on hand when people want them. I'm not quite ready to be our used parts guy, but for 60Eu it's tempting.

If we could Z-link Xite to Scope PCI, I would be on this in a heartbeat.

Re: Revival or for the first time really….

Multi-FX can host plugins like inserts & sends, but there's no wrong way to mix. For the effects that need to be hosted in a slot to work, GaryB reminded me recently Multi-FX works too.

Re: how to set Scope 7 for recording from Z-link 8 channel BOX

Yes my Xite doesn't have it either, but I vaguely recall something about there wasn't a concept of stereo pairs or multichannel audio in the 1998 codebase, or something akin to that. The newer DSPs in the Xite may have associated code to ensure things like that are handled automatically, no clue if ...

Re: how to set Scope 7 for recording from Z-link 8 channel BOX

A few more tips here, about routing of signals. In the first screenshot below, note that the MIDI signals (red) can all flow from the same 'nipple' connector (on the sequencer source) to the modules I route the MIDI signals too. This seems normal. But look at the AUDIO signal path, and you'll see ...

Re: how to set Scope 7 for recording from Z-link 8 channel BOX

Mixer in the middle will work for mixing all signals that you send through Scope. That would include the ASIO *SOURCE* module, as that is the signals coming FROM the DAW, Analog and DIgital INPUTS that come INTO the Scope environment from outside sources, and any sound sources directly in Scope ...

Re: Windows 10 and Scope 5.1 without Wave/ASIO

I'll let someone else confirm but yes it shouldn't be different than any other unsigned driver.

(Note that I'm on v7 for both of my machines, my Xite box runs Win11 pro and I'll be moving my PCI installation to Win11 eventually as well.)

Re: Windows 10 and Scope 5.1 without Wave/ASIO

Yes you can do that, still have to do the signed driver bypass trick to get the Scope card seen at all, as it still requires its Windows driver to work.

Both of my Scope machines are sidecars to my DAW machine(s), and the only time I use ASIO is for Bidule or VCV Rack (only v1 works with Scope but ...

Re: Noah WinXP Control Panel

44.1Khz out to an analog out, then back into 48 on your DAW/Scope side is fine even with the conversion. Any ringing from filter band design on the output will be at a different part of the spectrum than on the input, so cumulative effects will be minimal. This is why 48Khz was used for 'pro' work ...

Re: Noah WinXP Control Panel

Checking back in.

When Scope had the installer that matched the GUI, it was not one of the mainstream installation packages, but seemed to be created internally by Creamware. Because applications would litter the windows environment with DLL's that needed to be installed to have the API's that ...

Re: ZENOLOGY PRO - compatible with Scope/Pulsar?

There's the suite of sound tools (there's a plugin set just for FX that is free that is a subset of it, similar to how Korg Complete has the Trinity FX stuff in their pack) and then some VI content you can load into the Zenology Pro interface itself. Both are native plugins (VST/CLAP/AU etc), and so ...

It’s because it’s not an installshield or similar installation routine that follows the MS defined paths for installation, registry keys and ini files for uninstalling.

Re: The 80’s rule.

Our ability to shape the frequency and dynamics has gotten to the point where we obsess over adding back "grit"/"color", noise and "glue" that was lost in our move to digital. I agree that the engineering on remasters and other past works revisited shows our progress.

Focusing on what would sound ...
