thanks wired I just bought 2 portico 5032 and one portico compressor they stand just beside my UA 6176 and the vt 737sp Avalon
and all this sounds really nice...
and I agree that the UAD1 pluggs helped me tu use the scope ones in a better way especialy the mastering tools

I have 2 pulsar II cards connected to a Fireface 800 with Adat its a killer choice cause it adds the good rme preamps and best converter quality to the great effects and synth of creamware and nothing compares to scope platform,the Rme mixing board is not great at all

and the fact is that the better the plugg is the better the sound will be,assuming that you know how to use the plug
if you can't use high end pluggs don't buy them but you can if you want to learn using them its a question of strategy of work!

since I installed the card I use it constantly some pluggs are really usefull like the 1176 and the reverb is really nice
a lot of parameters to tweak your space!
its really working nice with cwa and sounds different
for example vinco has not the same coulour that the 1176 and masterverb ...

I've been working with 2 pulsar 2 and a uad1
for a few month and it works real great

after a few days of useless tries I c ame to the same conclusion thanks for the confirmation garyb

I'm trying to install xp in standard mod eby pressing F5 at the installation but it sops completely I tried later after acpi install but there are irq conflict and ide drivers are not well detected
did some one had thid pro and solved it with asus K8N-E deluxe?

dear andre I tried the demo and for a few seconds I liked the sound I seemed to hear but after that I found myself looking at the window "this is a demo" and it was a funny game to guess when it will appear again after 5 minutes of pause I removed your plug and went back to serious work again..

if you use a lot of rythm SPL Transient Designer can help a lot it makes mixes sound more airy
