Re: Mastering at -1dB ?
no
you can hit 0dB for individual samples. A rule is to not have consecutive samples that reach 0 dB. One sample 0 dB is not considered clipping. Two in anrow or more it is.

Re: Will there ever be anything new?
I am a scope sdk user so what I write is about me working with xite and the scope sdk.
There is totally different experience between PCI and Xite mainly that each dsp on the PCI cards is "old" i.e. fewer cycles vs xite 6 "old" plus 11 new dsps i.e. more cycles for DSP.
What does this mean for me ...

I do not dig them. Do whatever you like of course. For certain stuff like low production value stuff they are perfectly fine even a necessity.

Re: Getting back on Scope... or not?
I see your point, I don't use romplayers, because if I need brass a. i would synthesize brass type waveforms b. go for the real thing. If I really need brass then there is no point putting in a fake one.

Re: exsys pcie to pci adapter 2 pulsars with x3d cpu working great
Jimmy was great and was dedicated to music and computing. He was a real artist with a passion for life. He also adored scope ( for live ) and perhaps his addiction to it contributed to his health issues.
Its not strange he had found motherboards with good performance. He was giving plenty of money ...

Re: Will there ever be anything new?
There are users that feel anxious when they use a product from " a not so big brand". Because they use products that other people use and are guided by the hype. So after a while they start these marketing campaigns for scope, they are worried about scope future etc. This had happened numerous times ...

Re: Getting back on Scope... or not?
Bud there are all type of users out there.
Think that a user replied to someone after a 4 years old post, to a person that "replaced" scope with a sample player...
And asks him for advice or whatever. It is great fun.
You even checked if the product was real or sometype of mis-information. I am ...

Fear not my friend.
Go and bravely add your dynatube to xite.
It will work.
If it doesn't sorry.
But it will.
Come on. Be brave

Re: getting into Scope SDK?
I checked wiki. I got discouraged with the "discovered under mystical experiences with chant music" and the amount of info available. If it is included in a device it doesn't mean something to me. I also checked youtube and heard a couple of seconds from a couple of vids. Well it sounded like chant ...
