I've got a Pulsar II card coming in tomorrow to help my maxed-out Luna card (I need the additional ADAT, too). The Luna is on 5.1 software and works great. Yep, I did all of that. Working on it right now. Disabled all USB controllers in the device manager, set the ULLI tot 10 ms and things are looking a lot brighter.
