Ok! Problem solved.

I installed windows xp sp2 all over again, (earlier running sp3), i cannot pinpoint what is was that solved the problem though.

Installed Scope 3.1 software with the ASPI 4.71 layer. Then installed cubase sx3 and hadra cadabra the problem was solved, ive managed to get into ...

Garyb: I have XTC mode unticked. Should i enable it?
I always open Scope before Cubase, so yes its open.

Astroman: might be some kind of zombiedriver...but how do i actually "interrupt Cubase while checking whatever and switch to the driver dialog". Please explain :)
