don't worry about 4.x keys - there is no real difference between 3.1 and 4.x
(at least not that I noticed)
I'm using 4.5 atm but wouldn't hesitate to install version 3 again, which i considered a couple of times already.
Stay in 3.1 and 32 bit, just get rid of the wrong driver as Gary mentioned ...

the wait for v4 keys will be long. be patient if you go that way.

you can also use v3.1 again, although now that you have installed the v5.1 driver, windows will always try to use it, and the v5.1 driver will NOT work with v4 or v3.1. if you use v4 or v3.1, you will have to manually choose the old ...
