Re: Oberheim pads

with the upgrade you can have 4mb multisounds with 15 multisamples we are working on a new version filter per voice layer like the m1 t1 and its using my svf morphing filter with 2 in series for mad filter topologies faster cpu and knobs for every control via adc and the 32bit processor we are going...

Re: Oberheim pads

bud the envelopes on the roland are proper analog envelopes the reason for the cpu types was for presests its easier to save a digital envelope than several sample and hold voltages today there are 24bit dacs with out sample and holds so that very smooth controls can be accomplished via cpu control ...

yes its a dual osc chip based on the cem3340 architecture but instead of just one oscillator it has 2 on chip they get hotter than the single osc versions yes you are right on the obx it uses sem osc and filter and only cem envelope chips the OB8 & OBX-a: 2x CEM3330 VCA (Some OB-Xa models), 2x C...

Re: second gen. Pulsar 2 for sale - 5.1 and many plugins! Z-

well i sold one last year with 5.1 and lots of extra plugs for £300 so it depends on the person buying if its some one who has never owned scope then its better to sell to them as with out scopes sales you would not be able to buy half of those plugs for £300 and the brainworks stuff is no longer so...

Re: Oberheim pads

you can also use a tube emulation with a mixer in the resonant path and use a crossfade mixer then have the resonance go to one side of the crossfade mixer ad the tube and also have a control on the bias this way you can control the symmetry and the amount of distortion in return signal. as for the ...

yes you can use a halfwave rectifier or full wave just how a diode behaves i uploaded the filter design to the bcmodular designing filters where you can see the diode ring which is made up of both full wave and half wave this adds a ringing effect and really adds scream to the resonance with out dro...

Re: Oberheim pads

io have a matrix 12 and usually unless you are using sync for all 12 voices most sets just use one voice and you program several so that they layer but the biggest problem is that all lfo envelopes and modulation is done by the 2 6809e 8bit processors and this makes them slow they are not snappy and...

Re: Win xp Based Desktop PC

the scope cards work perfect with a p4 i use dual zeons and its quick but because the pci cards dont use much cpu resources apart from ram for samplers and some delay type effects and 4gb of ram with a win7 32 machine you can easily use 8gb or 12-16 as win7 32 allows you to allocate 4gb per program ...

Re: Quantum Wave on XITE

if the require dsp is needed it should be included in the install

so check the zip file for the zarg synths check the dsp folder and see if its in there

as with most installs there is a info text that tells you how to load the devices

and if any dsp required files needed

Re: Quantum Wave on XITE

when you load the instruments from the installer you need to make sure the folders are correct i finding them in the zarg synths it does folders like creamware rather than scope pci so that the dsp file will be in creamware/dsp folder i had this type problem with installing both the blackboxii modua...

Re: Camel Audio ceasing operations

his synths are great additive synths but the problem i find is that people where using it to copy sound library sounds and this led to just emulations but the program is so much more as its a vector synthesizer and a sample manipulator for addtive spectra noise and granular so that you can do waveta...

Re: Camel Audio ceasing operations

dont bother with omnisphere as its mostly based on his pcm from the roland d50 to jd800/jd990 and many other roland spectra sonics library and you dont have full control of the synth engine better buying a old roland s760 sampler and doing your own samples as it uses the 4 partial synth engine of th...

Re: Analog Circuit Modeling

also its good to draw a flow chart of the circuit you want on paper first i always do this as it gives me a visual idea when i built a quadratic lfo in bcmodular i used 4 multilfo in a clm shell each lfo was set to a phase and then an inverter module was used for the opposite phase this gives you 8 ...
