Re: PlanetZ T-Shirts
Hi, please note that this t-shirts are forbidden in some areas. I wouldn't wear especially in Germany because Z is the symbol of the Russia's attack in the Ukraine. Remember the german guy who recently had to pay 4000 euro because of a Z in his car. Other countries are maybe fine. You may think thi...

Re: XITE not working anymore at once on 2 PC's?
Thanks! My current Lenovo only has Thunderbolt3 (which is basically PCIe over and external connector, which is why I've always expected this to work for the XITE.) Last I looked at these Sonnet devices, they only supported Mac, so it's good to see it supports PC now. I may find one of these to give ...

Re: XITE not working anymore at once on 2 PC's?
So you have been using a thunderbolt to express card adaptor? I don't have a Dell (my laptop is Lenovo), but have been curious about this way of connecting the xite. Can you share how it worked, and which adaptor you used? If it is MS/Dell, you might be able to roll back drivers to enable your thund...

Re: Scope 7 Bug List
I think for some of the sequencers and arpeggiators, and even vdat (though I haven’t used vdat in some time), you must place the device on DSP #2 (the older dsps, that is also home to all wave i/o, etc).

Re: Thinking on buying super small PC just for XITE-1
I took a 1U rack PC, which had one horizontal slot, and bastardized it with a flexible connector from the PCIe slot to the card. Works like a charm. Of course, the mini-itx board + cooling fan required me to cut a hole in the 1U rack to make it fit, and depending on the rack it's in, either top of a...

Re: DAWman / Jimmy
Aww man. Shortly after getting an XITE I began searching for an A16, which Jimmy sold to me....and there began a side conversation that lasted a few years, sometimes sharing devices, and sometimes just working through midi, audio, or other questions, sharing experience, and expanding on forum commen...

Re: RIP Dave Smith
The moment Dave released the DSI Evolver, the entire electronic music instrument "industry" was reignited with analog, eurorack, digital, hybrid, wavetables, and so many more over the years, even making room to bring back so many designers like Oberheim, Linn, Hartmann....without that kick...

Re: Sound quality.
Thunderbolt will survive, there is still a need for hardware "tightly "coupled to the CPU for many industries, and PCI is dieing a slow death.

Re: Sound quality.
If there's any hardware after Xite, it has to be thunderbolt, to keep the system fast, and external to simply the product line.

Re: Xite with Usb connector
Using PCI/PCIe/Thunderbolt means the hardware is memory mapped, with the hardware directly accessible by the CPU. USB can move data through buffers to/from specific endpoints, so both the hardware and software would have to change extensively to accommodate this shift...that'd work for the next gen ...

Re: Xite with Usb connector
At least his point, true thunderbolt interfaces are common on laptops and can be added to desktops. That's a quick and appropriate, as well as equivalent to PCIe, step for Xite to continue development with.

Aside from China and Belarus, Putin stands alone now. I hope the Russian people rebel, and the mob bosses take him out of his seat of power. It seems like a bottom-up solution is the only "clean" way to fully stop him.

Re: How to optimize windows 10 for Scope to avoid clicks and pops!?
Good one, Always multi-TTM when using USB2 to connect USB 1 devices!! That really makes the latency for each device on the hub as minimal as possible.

It’s so true. I’ve been raising a family and away from scope for a few years. I recently reconnected it on a rebuilt system, and once I had everything wrung out...it purrs like such a lion. What a fabulous beast.
