Re: 10 CHANNEL MIDI BOX ?
Yea, the A880 is obsolete just like Akai unit. and it doesn't even have 10 outs I need, so I just bought a used Digidesign Midi I/O for $185. There's another one on ebay for $199. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Digidesign-MIDI-I-O-HD-Interface-MIDI-IO-IO-S14021-/261369669820?pt=US_Computer_Recording_Interf...

Re: 10 CHANNEL MIDI BOX ?
I don't need merge. I just have 10 synths and an 8 ch. out MOTU, so the digidesign will work fine.

Re: 10 CHANNEL MIDI OUT BOX ?
Yea, it's a vintage unit and can't find it anywhere for sale, so I guess I'll have to use 2 units after all.

Anyone know a MIDI box with 10 channels of midi outs? I have a 8x8 MOTU already but would really like to keep it to one unit.

No doubt Scope is the most intuitive way of working with digital music, well except for midi automation and fx sends/returns

Circus Afterhours New Years 2014
Was anyone at club Circus in Montreal for the new year party? It was a fucking amazing show, best I've been to so far.
There were at least 3000 people in the club at all times. I didn't have an SPL meter on me but I estimated around 120-130 dB, if not more.
Happy New Year!!!

Re: DIY Room Acoustics
Actaully never mind. I decided down to 2 options:
1. Twenty 6-packs of 2" Knauf Ecose, custom thin wood frames, and Guilford of Maine fabric. = ~ $3000
VS
2. GIK Acoustics = ~ $5000

DIY Room Acoustics
If you had to make a 6"x24"x48" bass trap for an 11x18ft room and the cheapest decent option would be to only buy these Ready Bags and Acoustic Frames from Ready Acoustics, and supply your own Green Glue, rubber Dynamat, Knauf Ecose 1"/2" and Owens Corning 703/705/FRK 1"...

Re: Anything better than Mackie 8 Bus Under $2000
Midas is now part of Behringer. That may - or may not - compromise quality. I see that Behringer now sells a 8 channel converter with "Midas preamps". I spoke to Midas Tech Support and the guy told me Behringer has nothing to do with Midas stuff, they only have access to Midas technology....

Re: Anything better than Mackie 8 Bus Under $2000
yes. that board is a very nice consumer piece of crap. it's very functional, it sounds pretty good, but it's a bic lighter and it's not great, it's only very good. if you want something great, you can have it, but you'll need to be a bit of an engineer. get a broadcast or recording board from the l...

Re: Anything better than Mackie 8 Bus Under $2000
Yes. I want to stay completely in analog (EQ, Line Ins, FX, Summing). Using analog synths only.Immanuel wrote:Are you going to use all those physical knobs, buttons and faders, or are you just looking for 32 analog gain stages for your Scope environment?

Anything better than Mackie 8 Bus Under $2000
Is there really anything with a better sound than Mackie 8 Bus/Onyx/VLZ Pro, that is under $2000 for 32 channels?

Re: Don't buy Supermicro X8ST3-F-O for Pulsar cards
yea i see what you mean, the adapter would raise the back connectors to the point where they're not usable :D but i won't use the card in that pc case with the Supermicro board if i have to cut the case. i mostly bought the adapter to see if it works at all, not thinking about anything else lol. fro...

No, i'm not touching the case. I got a bunch of LGA775 parts for a new old school build. just wanted to see if this adapter works.
