Ok, I'll tell you something.
Scope supports ASIO 2.2.
Happy?
I am :) but does it support VST 2.4 can anyone tell me that?
Also, just because something supports ASIO 2.2 doesn't mean it needs to be 64 bit.
Ok now SC I am starting to feel happy, just please will you send a representative to my ...

Re: its time for scope 64bit and multi-asio
Ok so now that is out of the way....
From where I sit (manufacturers aside) I am a sound designer, so firstly I need either samples and/or synthesis algorithms, how the sounds are reproduced in the end is not of concern in the first instance.

yes, you are being willfully ignorant. is this a race to see who "appears" to be most friendly, or do you want to know about a great product? if Scope isn't right for you, then by all means, don't buy it!

as to asio 2.2, if there is currently no 64bit version, then...
there WILL be a 64 bit version as long as S/C remains in business, however.
Why don't you ask the proprietors yourself instead of getting on here and telling people what you don't know about, all the while trying to put dirt on so ...

Re: its time for scope 64bit and multi-asio
And what do you think they'll put into some powercore as an asio driver, if they ever give a try to an "all included" system?
As I said, tc now appear to be listening and more importantly liaising with customers, something obviously SC have always done but the point is for me at least that for ...

Re: its time for scope 64bit and multi-asio
well, I gave you an example above of what I'd consider mildly expensive...
in fact it's 10k over what I'd be willing to spend
if the auction is correct - then that's a very unique piece of gear... something that really hurts to miss
It's nowhere even remotely the same thing.

Re: its time for scope 64bit and multi-asio
Bought a Firewire Konnekt 3 years ago, then I prayed they were able to publish stable drivers, then I've been astonished by the fact I can't use it as a real ADAT rack and then I went back to mama (scope). Not to mention I also posted on their support forums to say what I thought about that ...

Well if anyone had a brain here they'd know the answer.

It's not my problem, other than I cannot afford to use it due to the exchange rate in effect. May as well just pray that TC Electronic can fill the void with their vapourware.astroman wrote:If you consider the system overly expensive, then it's your private problem.

Re: its time for scope 64bit and multi-asio
Having watched at NAMM a few weeks ago what UAD, Lynx, RME, etc. have gone through re: 64-bit developments compared to what Scope actually offers (a full studio environment in a 'box') going forward, it's a no-brainer to me that this is the way to go.

You know I've been watching this forum for a long time and anytime anyone hints at using the gear solely in XTC mode they are immediately informed as to the contrary.

right now, there is the XITE, which is expensive, but not really. in fact it's dirt cheap for what it is.
Maybe but not everyone can afford it. I think over the years Sonic Core have had such bad marketing that they've had to price things so high to re-coup losses. Of course the evidence is in ...

Re: its time for scope 64bit and multi-asio
32 bit is fine so long as it's 64 bit compatible.
Even some older VST's, although not using the VST 2.4 SDK are written well enough so as to not cause problems with other plugin's but eventually you get to the point where you must make it properly compliant or abandon development altogether ...

If you write it for OSX 10.5 and above it IS 64 bit compatible already, eg pre-requisite for porting to windows.

Re: its time for scope 64bit and multi-asio
I know but so what, it's designed to be either so on that basis I need to know what it's about.
Of course I will use it's mixers, but so to I will use it in XTC mode so I don't wish to have arguments for/against a way of working I simply need to understand.
Thank you

You are right technically but socioeconomically well I'm not that far up the pile so to speak.
Even looking at TC for all its' bugs and problems, that is very expensive as well but sonic core well it takes the cake but if I know enough I may just shell out.

Re: its time for scope 64bit and multi-asio
I need it because I want the synthesizers in it as there is not much else that has so much but in my country there isn't even a distributor and the prices online are oh so expensive, probably will be excluded on that basis alone, at least from XITE.
