Re: scope doesnt startup after windows 10 upgrade
W10 needs internet only after installation to get its patches. Once working all internet for windows is cut off in some companies. The principle behind is "never change a running system". As W10 updates even removed 3rd party software automatically, some people started to think different a...

Re: scope doesnt startup after windows 10 upgrade
The request to confirm the start of a program in W10/W11 is based in UAC.
Just set UAC to less safety and your programs will start without asking.
I switched this off for machines, where no third person could add new software.

Re: Z-Link connection between SCOPE PCI - A16ULTRA
the power supply of the Z-link plate is just the same power, like your board gets from pci. The A16 has its own powersupply, which is also normal. Why should there be a problem ? Z-link is just a communcation link, which is designed to cope with two powersupplies some distance apart. Although I don'...

Re: SDK 7 and Scope 5 in single environment ?
SDK uses the same driver like scope. I installed 5.1 in parallel to 7. ( With SDK and Scope) To switch the version, you'll have to open device manager and force the right driver for the scope/xite. Windows prefers to use the higher version, which is refused by scope 5.1. So to switch from 7 to 5 or ...

Re: Long Live the Scope Platform
Started around 1998 with scope 1.1 or 1.2 with a 4 DSP Pulsar, which was a big investment in those days. Still using scope (now with xite) as the central heart of my projects. Some projects took me 15 years to finish, so I really appreciate the backward compatibility of later versions. @Valis: "...

Re: is Intel integrated graphics (non F cpu) worth it ?
From my personal experience, I would not use two different GPU within one system. I own an acer laptop which has intel + radeon and it allows to switch them for each app. Sounds cool, but if it comes to opengl, a mess begins. The GTX 960 is quite weak, compared to rtx 3xxx or rtx 4xxx. Using GPU for...

Re: Unusual behaviour.
In some rare cases, the pci slot on the mainboard might be the cause. I had a card with 14 DSP, which I recapped, changed the regulator and still got dsp errors. It was a failing pci slot, in which some other cards still worked. I wasn't able to evaluate, whether it was a power issue or some dma stu...

Re: A16 ultra simple question
1- you can directly connect the outputs to some active external speakers. I have 4 of them attached to the A16. 2- zlink dest is the output interface, who's only target I know about, is an A16u. Maybe I don't get your question right.. 3- I suspect, you have an A16ultra, as you mentioned zlink. A16ul...

Re: Does XOR run nice on Xite-1 ?
The Xor-sounds I use are used for baselines, thus I just used mono since. I never evaluated the polyphony limit, yet.

Re: Creamware Pulsar 1 Help/Support/Install files needed
If you want VST3, you'd need a "modern" version of your DAW. Most DAWs stopped support for 32bit. Ich also use Win7/32 one one of my PCs as this is the way to run software of the XP-age, but you'll be stuck with old DAW. Did you try if scope3.1 is willing to run on Win7/32 ? ( For 64bit, t...

Re: Crackling on XITE-1 outputs
If it's just a cracked solder, which is located close to the connector, applying force to the plug in different directions should make a difference. Sometimes crackling also originated by dying amplifiers. In this case it sometimes makes a difference, how much amplitude you give and how warm the dev...

Re: PCI SLOTS Motherboards
Most industrial mainboards provide the specs for maximum sizes of cards. Some cards in our company use the maximum size for pci cards and they all fit in all mainboards we ever tried. ( we tried more than 30 boards over the years) It would be a surprise to me, of scope didn't care about PCI specs. &...

Re: Native Instruments Kontrol S61 vs. older Scope-Pulsar setup
Connecting a pci card to your Mac will not work. Even if you would find some exotic adapters on hardware level (like Magmas), there is no software on Mac to handle scope. As Mac changed its cpu several times (68xxx, PPC, Intel, Arm), using old software is a nightmare. So my suggestion is to keep the...

Is there a "Z-Link-slavemode" ?
I know, this kind of linking works with Adat, but I never tried Z-link.
