Wow! 360 USD for a Hammond Clone. That's awesome!
How good is it vs the XK-3 Hammond or VK-7 Roland sound wise?

I'd love to get a Minimax ASB... I'm sure that would be pure fun (until the day I can afford a real Minimoog :P).

I think it's a great idea!
I would love to see that happen. I was reading a bit through the SDK sub-forums and feel like it all sounds chinese to me (and the problem is that I am not Chinese... well, not that it is a problem in itself but... well you see what I mean :D )

Thanks a lot Tom. That clears things up a lot to me.
However, I won't say I get it all yet. But I surely get most of it :D

So if I run Cubase on a PC, I could use audio or instrument plug-ins that take ressources from the SCOPE boards straight within Cubase? Would that work with any card or ...

SPOTS I am on the OAsys PCI group, I still have two oasys cards in ITOX dragon cases. Don't remember you from that group but I did some sound design for Harm Visser and Norsez. Are you still an OAsys user?

I guess last time I checked/posted on the OASYS PCI Group was something like 3-4 years ago ...

Thanks for all the feedback.

NI had improved the emulation a lot from Pro 5.2 to Pro 5.3 but I assume it is still shy compared to something like the plugs you mentioned (which I find confusing... it seems there are so many of the Prophet line to choose from: Profit 5, Pro-One, Prophet Plus, etc ...

In about a month or so, you'll realize that 4 DSP chips ain't enough and you'll want more. Which means either a used Pulsar or Scope or SRB or XTC or whatever. Then you'll eventually realize that ain't enough either and buy a full-blown Scope Pro and A16 Ultra.

I just landed in the SCOPE ...

I agree with Stardust. Business wise it would only make sense to invest so much resources for a new generation product's line vs legacy products.

And as a second thought (which should have been my first one :P ) although OSX runs on old 9500-9600 machines... to my knowledget it's impossible to run ...

congrats, 399 seems quite low indeed especially with 25 plugs (i guess SC gets something out of it... anyway).
mmh, from what I``ve read on their page the plug-in bundle is a different thing.
the plugiator seems to be a synth box which is able to run 8 different synths on its architecture.
The 25 ...

I am a bit confused with a couple of things you said. May you please help me with that? (it's good - I'll improve my english here).

How good are the SCOPE modular synths...

...vs the best emulation plug-ins on the market?

I don't know anything about the SCOPE modular synths (at least not yet), but I read a lot of good comments about the Prodyssey, the Modular II, etc...

I have quite a few plug-ins of vintage recreations (CS-80V, Minimoog V and Prophet V from Arturia ...

All I dont understand is why the OSX thing is so much of an issue.
Since it is not only a question of OSX driver but also the availabilty of MACs that have PCI 32 slots.
There are indeed quite a few people with old 9500 or 9600 PowerMacs that run OSX.

you are right, we can't compare. In this question, I was only referring to the audio quality of the card (A/D - D/A converters, dynamic, preamps, etc...).
