BTW - I believe Paul told you about the next Pulsar version - 3.01 - because you were probably on V3 when you asked the first time.

Anyway, you can run V2 and V3 on the same machine. Copy V3's "Sim*.dll" files overtop of your V2's install files by the same name, and now you can run both ...

I got a Yamaha A5000 sampler fairly recently. I think they're discontinued now but there's gotta be a few on eBay. They ship with - i think - 8 sample CDs, all set up velocity split / filter / layering wise and I've been well impressed with the quality of all the samples, (great latin & japanese ...

I believe the new devices are automatically used - the project files reference components, they aren't embedded. So I think the new V3 devs were loaded up when opening the old V2 project in the V3 environment. I'd better check this tho.

I can't do both systems on same machine so easily cos of ...

You the man remixme: thanks v much for another helpful post.

When I discovered the problem, I had done a fresh up-to-date reinstall of everything, drivers / minimum apps etc.

My BIOS is maxed out PCI latency-wise. All settings are configurable on boot on my mobo.

ALL win98 tweaks have been ...

Well, many thanks for your offer of help remixme, but I've gotta remind you that v2.01 was working fine with my system (as described below). Now that I've started projects with v3 I'm very reluctant to go back to v2 and have to build all my projects again (from text notes I guess... v boring ...

But the 'old' 440BX still has great PCI performance if you follow any of the advice I've given over & over in the past, you can avoid PCI overflows on those, too!

Yo Sub - I've followed all the relevent advice offered by all of the planet z members and my BX based computer still chokes.

I ...

Got this last week from Paul Tanti. Not too fucking swift these creamware.com bods! I think this does suggest PCI bus handling was altered in v2 -> v3.

Hi Sam,

sorry for the delay...

we are currently working on 3.1 I do not know if there will be a release
before this one.. ( sorry ...

Thanks Sub, but I'm relatively tekkie and had made double sure that I knew there'd been no changes in system config apart from Pulsar deinstall/reinstall before contacting Creamware. Unless the project file can affect device PCI usage & somehow get corrupted in conversion from v2 to v3, (which doesn ...

That wasn't all that clear....

What I mean was, a project which does not suffer from PCI overflow in v2 does when converted to a v3 project.

I've noticed I can run far more in v2 than v3 but since I've started a bunch of projects in v3 I'm kinda stuck with it.

I suggest you go back to v2 and have ...

I'm in communication with Creamware USA about a problem I've got with one project - able to run fine in version 2.00 but with 3.00 keep getting PCI overflows. No response as yet and I haven't been too impressed with Mr Paul Tanti so far.

They've had the relevent files for a week now with no ...

Hi all:

I've got this project which uses a DSPDev reverb and since I've upgraded from 2.0 to 3.0 the bloody thing keeps PCI overflowing on me. I've sorted a AGP VGA card at last but even with that and a PCI latency of 127 clock cycles I'm still getting overflows.

Does anyone know if theres been ...

You can do it with a simple filtered squarewave kinda synth ***with portamento on*** to get the slide. Use a standard minor key, (e.g. for Cm: c,d,d#,e,f,g#,a#) to get the Egyptian feel.

Its been done to death tho.

Hmm. Prob gonna buy this baby.

The response above and the killer prices of the other synths make me wonder whether this guy has set his cost just right - plenty of people will be up for buying this synth but I can't see too many hobbyists investing 200 euros in another piece of software.

And do I detect a touch of autotuning? I'd better be careful - maybe you're just a really good singer.

I really liked this. Very silky.

ahh! Just checked your mp3.com page - so this is Kyma doing pitch correction? sounds nice...
