Re: ADAT Yamaha YGDAI problem

This problem has come back to haunt me again ! It's hard to explain because I can't exactly put my finger on what is going on. I know it's not a Cubase problem because the ADAT will not sync even in SP with XTC mode switched off. Rebooting or even powering off my PC does not help either.

Testing ...

Re: ADAT Yamaha YGDAI problem

ok so you think there could be some dust or dirt in there, I had not considered that. I will look at cleaning it next time I pull the machine out, which is about a 20 minute job these days because of all the stuff it's connected to....

Interestingly enough I just tried a little experiment and ...

ADAT Yamaha YGDAI problem

Yesterday I rebuilt my DAW, Windows XP, downloaded all the latest updates, installed a virus scanner, cubase 4 and Scope 4.5... everything worked fine I was able to use Scope fine and it would sync up to my Yamaha 03D YGDAI interface via ADAT optical. However today after doing nothing to it at all ...

hmmm very intersting. I get exactly the same clicking problem with my Pulsar II card while it is connect via ADAT to my Yamah 03D mixer. The mixer is slave and the card is master. The problem seems to be there when I am just working on the dekstop, but disappears when I start cubase. I never really ...

It may be too late to mention this now but what the heck..... Just be careful with the Arctic Silver, since it is electically conductive. If you use to much paste and it spills over the side and onto the motherboard it can cause a short and destroy things. This happened to a friend of mine and why I ...

I'm confused here... the spec you posted for your PSU clearly shows the amperage for each rail...

Power Output:
+3.3V: Min 0.3A, Max 30A
+5V: Min 1.5A, Max 40A
+12V: Min 0.2A, Max 18A
-5V: Min 0.0A, Max 0.3A
-12V: Min 0.0A, Max 0.8A
+5VSB: Min 0.0A, Max 2.0A

I see 18 Amps for the +12v rail ...

I didn't mention I have a Scope Pro full length card so would the cases mentioned be OK?

Have a look at THIS and you can see the inside of my system with a Pulsar II installed. It fits ok. Is the Scope Pro longer or the same length ?

What you are suggesting is certainly possible, and wouldn't be that difficult....

You didn't really mention your budget, if money is no object, you should look at the Zalman 500A Fanless case. Probably the best solution for a studio..... Personally I would keep away from water cooling, as it can ...

Many producers are using GLITCHto make sounds like this, including myself. I realise that it is not a Pulsar/Scope plugin, but it is oustanding none-the-less, and free !

ahhhh yes... the standard practice for removing ANY hardware would be to remove all the software and drivers FIRST..... then pull the card out.....
