Re: Wave Destination Module problems

Hi Folks,

Excellent news regarding the 24bit wave dest module :)

When recording in to Sound Forge from the 24bit wave dest module, set sound forge recording file to 32 bit :)

No more crackles or pops, and as far as I know the file is fine.

Hope this is helps.

Hi, I dont have Traktion....but the principle should essentially be the same, hope this helps anyway:

The ASIO modules in pulsar have options for the number of inputs/outputs. (right click the module)

The ASIO source module in particular needs to have as many available channells as you want ...

Skype realtime audio streaming

Hi Folks :)

Has anyone figured out a way of streaming audio in realtime through Skype?

Pointing the headset mike at the speakers is an option of course

I want to stream audio live from Pulsar mix outs to skype input so its audible to person on other end.

Any ideas?

Bassdude. Rebuilding the system isnt an option for me right now, but I appreciate what you are saying. This problem occurred on a completely "new system". ie, brand new parts, MB, chip, memory, hd, vga etc. and it was a fresh install of XP pro too. Also, see Malascopes post ref clean systems.... big ...

Valis, its soundforge version 5, sorry but what do you mean "what driver am I using?" Could u please elaborate on your point about digital sync from your last post..it sounds interesting but I was not aware that there was any way to alter sync between forge and scope..at least I cant find any ...

Thanks Valis, interesting post.
So how would u go about fixing it ?

I ve tried increasing the output preload , no change....
And I cant' understand how there can be a loss of sync between Scope and Soundforge...can u elaborate further. It would be much appreciated.

Greetz from a more typically ...

Hi Gary, Pwr supply is fine, and card is new. The problem is identical to Pulsar 1 card which Ralph kindly replaced with this scope pro.... Problem is same regardless of machine, pci slot, intel/amd etc etc, check all my posts for the whole picture. Its possible I shorted a contact or damaged the ...

Hi Gary, thats exactly what I thought originally, see my first post on this subject.
Scope is master....no slaves attached, though I feel a bit like a slave to the scope right now :) The noise mp3 is also quite revealing in that it simply sounds like white noise..but 1 channel only??? How weird can ...

Bassdude, heres an example of the noise...this is just a straightforward recording at 24bit 44.1. No signal input, just hit record in soundforge and this is what comes back! Right side LED clips whilst recording whereas left stays low. Standard routing from scope, ie, mix outs to 24bit wave dest and ...

Bassdude, yep, I tried it with wavelab and still got the same problem. The 24bit ALT setting minimised the issue..but even so it still occurred but less severely. Still no where near good enough for proffesional application.

I've got a busy day, but I will get a "distortion" sample up for you later ...

Hi Malascope, thankfully I don't get your pci overflow errors..that sounds like an IRQ conflict, PCI bus drivers or other PCI card issue to me. Have you checked your IRQ's are not conflicting? Do you have any other bandwidth hungry PCI cards, are you using the latest drivers for the chipset? Sorry ...

Hi Lima

No, all IRQ's fine, no conflicts with card.

It does seem to be at a hardware level....but where.... I have tried 2 different systems AMD and Intel (chipset and chip) and am currently using a brand new 14dsp scope pro..with no change.

Thanks for your suggestion though.

Now for the bad news :(

Ralph supplied me with a new Scope pro 14dsp beast....and guess what...the problem is still there!!!!!

Having just punted over 500 Euros I am not quite as happy as I could be :)

The card is great ...

You could create one in soundforge. Menu: Tools\Synthesis\Simple. Then set freq, should do the trick. If you have soundforge that is.
