thanks Stardust. Is the interface the same on the ProphetPlus? if so maybe you could send me a couple of screen grabs and we could see if the sounds translate across when inputted manually?

I have the feeling I'm not getting the best out of my Profit 5. I know it's a great emulation, but the factory sounds and my own efforts don't totally convince.

Would anybody be willling to share their own efforts at Profit 5 sound design? Maybe I can see what I'm missing!

Thanks all of you .... I finally got my Noah up and running again, on a new (Vista) laptop. I'm afraid I can't enlighten as to what the problem was on the old laptop, but I really appreciated the files and the advice. Long live the Planet Z Noah forum!

Can anyone help? My laptop hard drive has died so I am having to set up all my music gear on a new laptop. Unfortunately I recently moved house and simply cannot find the installation and editor software disc for my Noah EX. I do still have the allkeys and oxe files luckily.

I'm sorry - dumb question ...

Do you mean you connect the Noah with a mains adapter on which you lift the earth connection, or do you mean you do some sort of ground lift somewhere in the audio chain??

Would still love to fix this, or I am just going to have to get another soundcard with an ADAT ...

Finally back online after moving to the country and back about three decades ...

The problem is still there - it's definitely not digital clipping, it happens irrespective of levels.

Well the Noah arrived and after very generous help from one of our friends here on planetz who sold it to me, it works perfectly and I am delighted with the quality of the plugins ... it sounds amazing. Great fun to edit sounds over midi too. :)

I'll try what you describe, sending midi to the Noah and to Cubase over USB.

The Noah arrives on Tuesday so I may drop you a line if I get stuck!

Thanks Neb - and, just to be 100% certain, the Noah plugins (Minimax, Profit5 etc) work at the same time and will respond to midi from Cubase? If they all work together like that it sounds like a great system!
